Felton is the ideal PG for the Blazers. No way Denver pulls the trigger, but this looks good.

Batum, Rudy, Miller & 21 for Felton & Chandler

What would it take for Denver to trade Felton to us. He only has 2 years left. Unfortunately i see them keeping him for the year unless a smoking deal comes their way and then trading him next year when hes an expiring contract. Thoughts?

What makes him the ideal PG for Portland?

He can shoot the 3, play D and dish. Maybe ideal isnt the right word, but i think hed be a great fit.

Ideal PG is Deron Williams

I'm in favor. I like him. We can't get him. :(

Ideal is too strong of a word, but I do think he'd be adequate as a starting caliber point ... for now.

Felton's stats are similar to Miller's, except Felton can shoot the 3.

Felton 13.7, 3.4, 6.7, 1.5 steals, 2.6 TO 41%FG 33% 3PT

Miller 14.4, 4.1, 7.2, 1.5 steals, 2.6 TO 45%FG 20% 3PT

33% isn't enough of an improvement to me to justify trading Batum for him. Plus, you're giving up FG% with him, too.

he signed for 3/22 last year? damn, i thought he was scrap heap material last year

Wow, 33%....beast.

33% career. 38% in '09-10. 35% last year, including 45% in Denver (% suffered in NY when asked to shoot too much). I imagine he would be 37-40% here.

You guys need to start realizing that some fans only want improvement if it comes at zero cost.

I trust his career numbers more than one season's worth of data. He played in a slow system for Larry Brown and he suffered. He'd do the same under Nate. Plus, he's just not very good, career 14.5 PER, 103 ORTG, 109 DRTG. He's like the definition of "meh".

The problem, of course, is that Felton doesn't represent an improvement. At least, as a starter.

He'd make a very nice backup, but I'm not sure how much I'd pay for a good backup. Something, certainly...it just depends on what that cost was.

Blazer_Prophet may have some competition for his screenname!

Recognize!

What did this guy know that we didn't?

Great win last night! There's nothing like putting a beatdown on the fakers.

I just thought out of the available PGs, he was the best fit. He's not a deadeye 3 point shooter, but he keeps the D honest. Dre's lack of 3 point shooting really hurt us in the playoffs.

My next prediction = the return of the Vanilla Gorilla!

UGH no! Keep him away!

How...how did you find out?

Need to make Kurt Thomas our PG. His 8/0 A/TO ratio is Rubio'esqe (well, better).

Could you clarify if you meant the L*kers or the guys who post here and like to pretend to be GMs. Thanks in advance.

Felton is the one who has completely changed the way we play? Have all the others fought him on this issue? That's quite an accomplishment.

I still think we should pursue DJ Augustin.

A second-unit backcourt of Augstin/Crawford would work very well as both can pass & shoot.

Given the chance I think Augustin would push Felton for the starting PG job, too.
