Update: Ex-Cavs GM Ferry has "serious" interest in Blazers GM job, source says

Brian Berger's source said Ferry isn't interested because of his kids' schools. I only believe what Brian Berger says.
Am I the only one that is skeptical about Ferry? He couldn't get it done with arguably one of the best players in the league.

Is Doc Rivers a better coach than Jerry Sloan?
That's impossible. Brian Berger said he wasn't interested.
I'd also like to add: Ahem. Danny Ferry?
LOLZ! What an electric hire that would be!!!!!!
Welcome to the Titanic everyone. The biggest most hugest ship the world has ever seen!!!!!!!
do we really want this guy, didn't he put together the cav's team as it is? He probably only got Lebron because they were so awful and he's from cleveland. (that is not capitalized on purpose because that town doesn't deserve it.)
Brian Berger said Ferry thinks Portland's private schools aren't as good as Cleveland's. Ergo, no way is Ferry coming here. LOL Someone from Cleveland thinks Portland's schools suck. I love this.Brian Berger's source said Ferry isn't interested because of his kids' schools. I only believe what Brian Berger says.
Yeah. He is actually.
Ferry traded shit and added pieces around Lebron. Lebron had the ear of the owner, and dictated what he wanted. Ferry got that without really giving up a lot. Portland fans would have been ecstatic if we could have added Shaq, Jamison and Williams for Mills, Blake and Claver. I mean he really didn't give up a lot.
Why didn't Ferry have any good assets to work with? Does he suck at drafting? We were able to pick up some relatively valuable assets deep in the first round.
Then we need to make sure to keep Buchanan/Born to ensure that we continue to draft well, while letting Ferry handle the deal-making. It's a team effort, right?
You forgot the sarcasm smiley.

Yes, What a brilliant coach.
It's not Doc Rivers fault he's not 79 years old yet.
Stooge
Is it your opinion that the players on a team don't have any influence on the success of the team? A team's success is purely based on the coach?
I don't thin kFerry's assets are any worse than KP's? Apparently KP couldn't move the best trade chip in the history of the NBA without adding Batum to it, so they must not have been that great.
Sadly, I don't think he did.
Sloan had one of the best power-forwards in the history of the game and one of the best point-guards at the same time for 15 years or so - and still did not win a ring.
Sloan is a very good coach, but he is not all-world class, imho.
I guess we'll just disagree about the bolded part then. If you replace Lebron with anybody other than the best player in the world, or Kobe, that team doesn't make any noise, IMO.

No it's a combination. Are you under the impression Sloan hasn't been given enough time to get it done?
