Zombie Festus Ezeli becomes a Blazer (3 Viewers)

I'll take it. 24 mins of rim protection and called in for inside scoring presence when needed. He's accustomed to that role as is.

I'll take that. He averaged about 17 mpg last season. It'll be awesome if he can give us 24 mpg next season.

So if we bring back everyone our rotation after Meyers comes back:

Dame / Napier
CJ / Crabbe / Patty C
Turner / Harkless / Layman
Aminu / Davis / Noah
Ezeli / Plums / Leonard

Dammmnnnnn that looks deep.
Reminds me of our 98-99 and 99-00 Blazers teams that routinely rolled 11-12 deep. If we win and players buy into the system/their roles, look out.

Uncle Festus!

MM is going to be pissed. Another American-born white center.

Next year....

Reporter: "So Neil. Napier turned into a quality backup point guard. Ezil was the pickup of the offseason. Layman looks like a future starter. And Turner became more than we ever thought he could be. You definately are front runner for the Executive of the Year."

Olshey: "You didn't see what happened last year, did you?"

What else do we need? Shooting from the wing spots?

I hope we can extend Mo and Meyers to longer term deals. Don't want to lose them if they take QOs next season.

It's not the knees. It's the dried up market. No one with cap space needed a center. If his knees were that bad they wouldn't have signed him. 7m is still 7m.
True, but if the knees weren't that bad, they would have done more than a 2 yr deal

We already played harder than pretty much anybody, but now that we have as much depth as we do, there's no reason that we can't have guys leave it all out for every minute they play. We should be deadly on the break with the combination of shooting, athleticism, and depth along with the fact that we now have 3 ball handling playmakers at 3 different positions. I think we'd have a solid chance to beat even the Spurs in a playoff series just because we should be able to outrun them and outwork them.

This is a really dope signing but makes me wonder about a tweet I saw earlier...

"Golden State signed Durant, so they win!"

My thoughts: Yippee! Great signing, great patience and good execution! I wasn't this hopeful over the first 2 days!!

Roster: I think depth chart actually looks like this.....
Damian / Turner
CJ / Crabbe
Turner / Harkless
Aminu / Davis / Vonleh
Plumlee / Ezeli / Leonard
Connaughton, Layman, Montero, Alexander and Napier won't see much PT
*Edit: Added Leonard

Its a good lineup. Stronger than last season. Better balance.

Also, we're starting to stock up on assets to be able to make trades from!! Boogie?
