The Indiana Fever has waived second-year forward Joy Cheek to finalize its 15-player roster for training camp which tips off the start of the 2011 season next Sunday, May 15.
Cheek, Indiana's third-round draft pick in 2010, appeared in seven games during her rookie campaign.
The Fever opens camp next weekend with the rest of the WNBA as the league prepares for its 15th season. The Fever will stage its first practices on Monday, May 16 with a preseason game set for Tuesday, May 24 at Minnesota. The Lynx visit Conseco Fieldhouse for a preseason finale between the two clubs one week later on Tuesday, May 31 (7:00 p.m.)
The roster will be trimmed to 11 players on June 2, prior to the Fever opening its 12th season when it hosts Eastern Conference rival Chicago on Saturday, June 4 (7:00 p.m.).
