Perv! How long before someone backs one of these things and posts some naked ladies?
I envision a local advertiser liked to change the court during the opponents possessions. The visual movement seems highly distracting for players.
Or shifts the 3 point line to be closer for one team. Or widens or narrows the key. I could definitely see potential for shenanigans. How long before someone hacks one of these things and posts some naked ladies?

Same. I wanted to look it up to see if it was slippery/slippery when wet. The designer claims...I can't get past the glass court description. For a basketball court.
https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.c...lass-led-basketball-court-asb-glassfloor.aspxThe interactive court, designed by the German company ASB GlassFloor, is an LED screen covered by connecting squared panels of textured glass that contains ceramic dots for traction and elasticity to prevent floor burns and dead spots.
FIBA’s Head of Equipment & Venue Centre Bart Prinssen claims the high-end ASB LumiFlex court has an almost identical feel to a hardwood floor, straight down to the sound of a dribble. But after that, the possibilities are endless and similarities essentially nil.
$2.5MM for the "good" version while you've got homeless encampments within miles of many arenas.I shudder to think how much money that costs which could have went to something more prudent.
I was thinking this was an absolute abomination, and then you explained why it's happening. That would be so incredibly distracting for me, and I legit wonder what it might do the the players eyes over a long enough time period.BUT THINK OF ALL THE ADVERTISEMENTS THEY CAN SHOW ON IT!
I like it... makes sense on a few different levels.
Change is hard for people though, so I get the push-back.
Lack of money in the city is not the reason we have homeless. It's about 4-6X more expensive for the taxpayers to allow people to be homeless than it would be to pay their rent.$2.5MM for the "good" version while you've got homeless encampments within miles of many arenas.
any time any player gets seriously injured on this thing their agent will tell them about those ceramic dots for traction and elasticity and their eyes will glaze over at the explanation.Same. I wanted to look it up to see if it was slippery/slippery when wet. The designer claims...

So a player's gonna look down to see how many rebounds he needs to get a trip dub, and trip over his own two feet. I can see it now, vapor trails behind guys going to the hoop. Like that hockey puck thing. The silly gets sillier.
