Drummond vs. Draymond:

Imagine the chip on Lillard's shoulder if he isn't chosen, and the drive to get better.

Lillard playing for team USA will be the biggest take away this offseason, and will yield the biggest improvement. Lillard will come back from this experience a much better defender, which will in turn spark his team mates to improve during camp.

This is pretty cool.

Talking of Parsons: I think somebody should take Claver aside and say: this is what you can be. And look at what he earns. So work on your fucking shooting.

Edit: the comparison is pretty eerie:
Chandler Parsons
Victor Claver

Compare, especially, their 2011/12 years, when Parsons was playing for Cholet in the (vastly inferior) French League, while Claver was playing for one of the top teams in Spain, and therefore Europe.

Sadly, I think Victor's problem is that he's too meek and mild.

Rose has played a total of 49 games over the last 3 seasons, yet he's being asked to be a leader? I find it extremely selfish of him to even try out for the team, considering the Bulls are paying him a max contract to not play for them. Rose has made $34m the past two seasons, and played 10 games, total. It's a joke. Irving is another player that misses a bunch of game, yet there is no way Coach K is going to cut him, so he'll be on the team.

For comparison's sake, Lillard has not missed a game in 2 NBA seasons, including an extra 11 playoff games. I'm with BBert, though, in that if Lillard gets bypassed, it's the type of snub that's fueled him his entire basketball career, dating back to HS. Out of the 5 PGs listed, the one who doesn't belong on the list is Irving, if we're going by playing in pressure situations.

Remember, the assistant coach of Team USA is... Thibodeau.

Great point, I had forgotten about that. Maybe Lillard should sit out most of two seasons after signing a max contract, and then he'll get a shot at getting playing time, let alone making the team.

Who are the SG's besides Hardin? That is where they may need Damian most. They said they need shooting.

I think that Derozan is almost certainly a lock to get cut. Meanwhile these guys are locks to be included:

Durant
Anthony Davis
Stephen Curry
James Harden
Derrick Rose
Paul George

Probables:
Irving
Thompson (shooter AND defender, both at a premium)
Token White Dude (probably Parsons or Korver, the former because: tall, the latter because: lights out shooter)

Not sure who the other bigs will be. Cousins has huge talent, but is too much of a wild card. Drummond can't hit his FTs, which might be a no-no. I actually think Millsap has a good chance, just because he's versatile, and I think Shishefski likes that.

I would think both centers are locks. At least one of them for sure (Cousins and Drummond)

No way Drummond makes it unless there is an injury. His FT shooting is 20% below Howards and thats a big deal in fifa.

Dame said he didn't make a shot yesterday. Was having trouble getting used to the new ball or something. But his mind is in the right place-- he's thinking about D and being an outlet to KD and the bigger scorers.

Still having trouble seeing him make this.

This is such a valuable experience for Dame, even if he doesn't make the team. It will really show him the things he needs to work on. In a way too, practicing and scrimmaging with the best point guards in the league is like jamming with other good musicians. He is bound to pick up a few things and get better.
