I actually really liked the women's international team, but the crusade they have been on has really put me off.

Not much different than how I feel about Dame right now.

How can ANYBODY look at out USWNT and be “put off”? Thats ridiculous. They mean so much to this country and young women everywhere.

MVP of that game was that Swedish goalie! She killed it out there. Tough loss for the US. I am no expert, but I feel there is about to be a big overhaul. The older players will get fazed out with the coach.

That's the problem (for me) with soccer/football. Americans have no control over making the sport better.
The World Cup happens every 4 years and after several rounds and matches the Final can end decided by penalty kicks.
I don't understand how that is a satisfying conclusion to anyone, even the winner.

Australia’s turn tonight, and we haven’t been playing great. Although the last game against Canada was much better. I’d feel a lot more comfortable if Sam Kerr was fit.

Out of all the teams left Japan is the only nation to have previously won the World Cup, so very good chance of a brand new winner. Our Prime Minister has promised us a public holiday if we win the whole thing, so fingers crossed!
