Who's the next star player to bolt or demand a trade?

Who could/should we target? The way the West is now we would be wasting prime years of Lillard/CJ if we don't find a third star IMO.

Lillard
McCollum
Nurkic

A more than solid core but not yet ready to compete with the big dogs.

Fixed it for your protection from Papa Nurk.

I still would target a SF upgrade. And going through the list....there is only about 7 difference makers in the NBA. None of which I see coming here. So I think it needs to be another Nurk that falls though the cracks and then explodes after they get to Portland.

I guess we better hope that Anthony Davis gets fed up in New Orleans and lowers his value by demanding a trade next off season. Give them draft picks, Collins, Swanigan and a larger contract to match.

We should start a 100000 page thread about it, because it has as much of a chance of happening as MeloGate did.

Either Anthony Davis as our starting PF, or a dynamic 6th Man SG. I don't know who that SG would be, but I think a super-sub would pay greater dividends than any PF/SF starter not named Anthony Davis (as he's the only guy I could reasonably see forcing a trade).

I think we also could do what these superteams aren't doing: build an elite bench.

I haven't brainstormed how but these would be my early targets:

1) Tyler Ulis at backup PG.
2) Robert Covington at backup SF
3) Evan Fournier as 6th man at SG

Something along these lines.

Fucking drives me crazy!!!! 20 yard fucking punt inside the other teams territory. Just fucking go for it.

If only Kwahi wanted to leave san antonio

Toronto and Ibaka two years hence if things go south up north.
not sure of his fit but tobias harris likely expendable in Detroit if they miss playoffs this year. jon leuer
james Johnson in Miami, but unlikely cause of ownerships commitment and their coaching. winslow likely but not showing it at all yet.
love is the most obvious.
maybe oubre in DC but he can't shoot the three.
batum
klay thompson

I could see Boogie going on the block again.

True. But Booger and Nurk can't play together. We need a boost at SF or PF. Ast this point in their careers, I would rather have Nurkic over Booger.

These are solid players but not elite. And although I like this thinking I think we have several quality players behind the big 3. I hope we can keep both Goodwin and Briscoe because I think both have that talent

Other talented bench/role players: ET, Harkless, EdDavis if healthy, the good Meyers, Vonleh somewhat, Aminu somewhat, Leyman could maybe develop into this kind of player, ZachCollins also. Caleb I think could be a notch above them and maybe a notch below the big 3

one of faried or trey lyles in Denver who have too many bigs needing time
mirotic though free agent rental only from chicago

would not be surprised if Kevin Love is on the block this season or very likely next summer when Lebron leaves, the other guy form Cle I'd try to target would be Jae Crowder

I'd be ok with Love coming to Portland.

I hope he proves to be that good but I doubt it, love to have him prove me wrong

I think he'd be very good. He has deficiencies like in lateral quickness and athletic ability that are similiar to Love's but he's just as good at playing around the basket just as good a rebounder, like Love has basketball IQ that compensates for his relative athletic weakness, he's maybe not as good in fastbreak passes, a good outside shooter but better inside. I think they are similiar in many ways and I'm happy with Caleb but he still of course has to prove himself
