Still fuming from a last-second dunk in a Tuesday loss to Erie, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants came out fighting mad and pulled away from the host BayHawks 96-80 Thursday in front of 2,046 fans.
With the win, Fort Wayne (21-25) remains in the eighth and final NBA Development League playoff spot.
Erie (29-16) finished off a 113-104 win at Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday with a dunk as time was dwindling, causing some irritation from Mad Ants players and coaches.
In the rematch, Chris Kramer had 25 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while Darnell Lazare 21, Ron Howard 17 and Ryan Wittman 11. Marvin Phillips added 11 rebounds and seven points. Kramer made 11 of 11 from the free-throw line as the Mad Ants made 27 of 33. Lazare was 5 of 6 and Howard 5 of 7.
