For clarification, the Big Jake penalty is not just being forced to select Big Jake Tsakalidis in the third round. It also involves being forced to justify the pick with 4 pages of statistical analysis showing how he is a top-tier superior defensive center, and one of the overall most efficient players in the league. </p>

I think Nocioni is one of the top 75 players in the NBA, which means you took him too early.</p>

Maybe a bit of a reach, but I still like him. With Diaw at PF though, you're going to need a pretty good bruiser at C to rebound.</p>

There are at least two small forwards on the board right now that are better than Nocioni. I'm absolutely shocked one hasn't been taken yet.

This is not too early to take him as long as he plays sometime this season. </p>
 
If he plays, an achilles is an ugly lingering injury that could effect his explosiveness. (not that Brand's explosive)
