He was in AWE of Durant. Is anyone in awe of <del>Oden</del> Duncan besides <del>Blazers</del> Spurs fans? </p>
</div> Awe don't get you the shiny stuff. That's what we call it in the locker room. Shiny stuff.</div></p>
A lot of players, fans, media, coaches are in awe of Duncan. Oden, not so much. </p>
</div> You're completely deluded. </p>
Listen, I think Durant's going to be great, and I think a team could have justified taking him with the #1 pick. But unless your name is Michael Jordan, you just don't win titles without an All-Star center. It just doesn't happen. I guarantee you that most players and every coach in the league are in awe of Oden, as is the entire state of Ohio. He's unbelievable. Nothing but injuries could possibly derail his career. The worst possible case is that this past draft was a Hakeem-Jordan situation all over again, but there's never going to be another Jordan.</p>
Enjoy Durant, he's going to be awesome. But don't knock Oden - he's just as talented, and a safer bet.</p>
