thoughts on my team?

PG - Ramond FeltonSG - SF - Rashard LewisPF - Kevin GarnettC - Ben Wallce
Garnett runs the offense. No need for Felton when there are better guards available.
How did the Timberwolves make out with Mike James and Marko Jaric?
Perhaps Mike James and Marko Jaric aren't very good? Garnett is a creator. Felton is useless.
How is Felton useless? He can create for Lewis, occasionaly Wallace and whoever my SG will be. When the T-Wolves made it to to the playoffs KG had Cassell who got him the ball. IMO it can't hurt to have a play making PG.
I actually like the Felton pick a lot and agree with everything you just wrote. Just because KG's often forced into a playmaker role doesn't mean he doesn't/wouldn't thrive with a decent pg.

QUOTE (gambitnut)

Back on subject, what do people think of the latest trade?

well, i'm not sure my opinion matters, but i think that was a shitty trade for yourself.

you give up your 169th for his 205th (a late 6th for a late 7th) to move up 9 spots in the draft.

i wouldn't do that trade

Having TJ Ford paired with Duncan isn't too smart. It's a contrast of style.

Contrast of styles seems to be the name of the game in this draft. Granted I've been trying to move away from that.

really now, i'm interested to know...do i have a "contrast of styles"?

Your team could still go either way but I think its looking ok right now, Okur might not fit as well as some other centers but it's not as bad as some other teams. You need a banger to get rebound and a PG that can run IMO.

definitely agreed. i wanted david lee or samuel dalembert, and mo williams or jason terry, but they were picked.

i'll just have to hope none of the other guys on my list get picked by my next pick.

Strictly by the numbers, that's probably true, but there are a few players I'm hoping fall and I have so many more 6th round picks, I don't think the drop off will hurt that much.

that's a big risk...but if you're willing to take that risk, i won't hold you against it.

based on how this draft has been going, i wouldn't be surprised if a few gems fell in your lap.

agreed. felton is turning into a great point guard and is overlooked alot.

personally, i would have gone with a better shooter to compliment KG, but if you choose a good shooting guard, this could turn out to be a great selection.

I like the current construction of your team, Peg.

The 76ers practice down the road from my school, and a lot of them live over there. Iverson had an apartment in the building next to mine last year, and would always park his Rolls Royce Phantom in the handicapped spot in front of the building. Saw AI driving down the street a couple times, gave him an "AAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIII", and he just pointed at me like "You know I'm the man". Dalembert has a huge house within walking distance from my apartment, too.

that is awesome.

i wish i had a pro team near where i live.

today, tho, i saw lazarus sims (former syracuse player, harlem globetrotter, ABA and CBA player) play in a tournament along with billy edelin (former syracuse point guard, part of the 2003 championship squad), and dayshawn wright (former syracuse forward, kicked off the team cause he's dumb) and a great JuCo player Latavia Escho, and all are signed to play on an ABA team, the Syracuse Raging Bulls. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syracuse_Raging_Bullz)

i also saw current Syracuse Orange star point guard Josh Wright, who is currently my avatar.

Wait, AI parked in the handicapped spot?

I guess that makes sense. The man's broken, twisted and sprained every bone, joint and muscle in his body.

OHQExiT: you should trade me Melo and your 12th for my 11th and 12th
kweli109: Yea, I should
OHQExiT: so you agree to the trade?
kweli109: yea, you should post it

Done deal, what dose everyone think of my team now?

wouldn't that be heaven. i hate that dude.

just for that, the suns won't get my vote in any competition.

I was planning on taking Bowen if he was going to be available. I thought that some would call it a reach, but I sure wouldn't. He's the type of role players you need to win.

No one is shocked that you would consider picking someone that is a starter on the Spurs

Let's not go THAT far.

BTW, I drafted Oberto two years ago on BBB. So that boat has sailed.

I happen to think Bowen was a great pick.

Go figure.

Grrr. Anthony Parker would've been absolutely perfect for my team. I knew it was wishful thinking though. He would've strengthened my defense even more and given me additional firepower with his ability to spread the floor. The only concern I had with him was his lack of NBA experience for his age. Ah well.

Parker fits on a lot of teams. I was thinking of trading up to get him but im already gonna be thin in depth.

I'm giving some props to JCB for taking four really excellent, reliable team players who all seem to give a shit about winning.

Your team is way too small, but I'd rather have that group than a bunch of tall, talented losers.

Kudos to you. You obviously watch more than just SportsCenter highlights.
