With how slow the picks are being taken, I'll come back in a week for mine.

(j/k)

Yeah I'm completely out of the 6th round. Luckily I've already got my starting 5 together

Thoughts on Antonio Daniels?

He was one of 3 players I was targeting with this pick, and it was a really tough decision. Still not sure if it was the right one.

I like it. You can also do ellis, daniels, butler, west, milicic and have calderon from the bench.

Looking good JCB.

I'm merging my team with JCB and we are going to be a dynasty.

I was also looking at him earlier, but figured he might last a while. Duhon and Gomes were good picks too.

Daniels and Calderon is a terrific and versitile PG combination.

And they fit well together as well.

If anyone is interested I would be open to trading Mike Redd for a big.

See my sig. Comments on my team?

Don't like the AI - Rip combo. I think Boozer is a solid player

Hmmm....

AI has typically played alongside a defense minded small PG (like Eric Snow) and I think that may have held him back. What I like about the AI/Rip combo is:

 1. Rip is a strong defender in his own right.
 2. Rip plays off the ball and is extremely effective in that kind of scheme.
 3. Pairing Rip and AI gives my team a tall SG to complement AI being so small.
 4. AI tends to dominate the ball, my whole offense is geared toward letting him do so.
 5. AI and RIP are energizer bunnies. With or without the ball, your team is going to have to chase them around all over the court.

I don't know of another SG that I'd rather have with AI. Who do you think is a better backcourt pairing with him?

thanks, i appreciate the input.

i think the gomes pick was pretty good, too, and the jarret jack and dampier picks were pretty solid.

and the antonio daniels pick was a GREAT pick, i was seriously considering him. he was prolly the best veteran point guard available.

but, i went with duhon because of the whole youth thing.

it's tough finding someone to pair up with AI. maybe a completely defensive minded SG. but i think your teams alright.

what i especially like is the dampier selection, he'll cover for when AI plays his reach defense.

who can I trust to pick for me? I got a feeling i wont be around for my turn

Hello.

Ill send you a pm in a minute.

Edit: JCB, check your pms.

Also, cpaw, I entrust JCB with my pick.

I sent you a pm before JCB volunteered, but not to worry, the list of players is the same.

The Magic [gambitnut] trade #145 [5], #179 [6], #190 [7], and #277 [10] to the Celtics [Premier] in exchange for #152 [6], #153 [6], #213 [8], and 272 [#10].

The Magic (gambitnut) trades and the Pistons (ZAE) receives
Pick #157 (Round 6) and Pick #272 (Round 10)

The Pistons (ZAE) trades and the Magic (gambitnut) receives
Pick #184 (Round 7) and Pick #244 (Round 9)

I feel like the only way I have a chance in succeeding in this league is if I make an active effort to be a jerk and rip people off with obviously lopsided trades. I realize that people are free to screw up their own teams, but they shouldn't be free to unfairly bolster other people's. That's a really crappy situation to be in, and it sucks.

QUOTE (gambitnut)

I accept this one as well.

Why?

This is a simple fix.

The idea is that at the end we all vote (and we can see how much these votes will mean after witnessing the disaster that is this draft).

If anyone unfairly bolstered their teams by taking advantage of 12-year-olds or Community Moderators, maybe they don't get so many votes.

that second trade is poopy.

and no offense to anyone or anything, but i find it weird that people are always trying to move like 6 spots up, and in exchange for that they give up really good picks.
