I'm not in this contest but Ben Gordon at PG would never work. He's not a good ball handeler or passer, he's mainly used for creating his own perimiter jumper or coming off of screens for a shot. I've only recently started seeing him slash, mainly in the Chicago-Miami series, you need a true PG who can handle the ball. Gordon isn't similar to Arenas or Billups, both are SG's in a PG's body but both also can create for their teammate and set up the offense an area which Gordon lacks.</p>

See Billups isn't a creator. He just runs the offense. Gordon is a better creator than Billups. Gordon is a very skilled dribbler. He just has the problem with picking up his dribble, which I think would probably be gotten rid of if he played the position full time.</p>

In the half court, you want the ball in Gordon's hands, and the offense to be created around him. </p>

While yeah, a good point guard would be nice, but there isn't a point guard available who is better at being a point guard than Gordon who has a working leg. </p>

You have Redick and Durant who are great shooters, that can get open looks off of Gordon's penetration. Andrew Bynum to play the low post, and Tyrus to play the high post. </p>

There's still at least one point guard out there better than Gordon. Not as a scoring threat, but definetly at running a team in the half court offense, amongst other things.

Well a lot of the Bulls offense right now is off of dribble penetration. Thats not all of my offense though. It will also be created by Thomas in the high post, and Bynum on the block. </p>

I have a lot of good half court players, so I don't think it will stagnate, and will be more of the style of ball that wins playoff basketball. </p>

I don't see BG7's team as a contender immediately. However, he has put together 5 really young players who could be pretty awesome together down the road. </p>

We haven't even see Durant play a game, and I think he shouldn't be underestimated. He's got all the skills, and he's going to get the ball all he wants in Seattle - they have nobody else. Before the end of the season, people may be comparing him to Kobe. Or not. That's the big gamble.</p>

I'm not a big fan of Redick, but Gordon is pretty good, and the other three guys have good potential. Hestill needs a true point guard and a couple really good defensive bench players. And he needs to make sure his coach is real good (and real patient).</p>

Drafting players all on rookie contracts and then assuming you can just keep them all isn't a good strategy. There's no way to be able to keep all those guys by the time they hit their primes. </p>

If Durant is compared to Kobe by the end of the season, I hope I wake up, because that's not happening in the real world.</p>

Gordon is far from a skilled ball handler, his handling has improved recently but it is far from the level of any other combo guard. Gordon can create his own jumper around the perimiter but struggles slashing to the basket effectively. Luol Deng does most of the slashing in the Bulls offense. </p>

If there's no PG available then I seriousely reccomend making a trade because I do not believe that Gordon can handle PG duties. As for Redick, he has yet to prove himself as a great shooter in the NBA. </p>

Gordon is a very effective slasher. Not a great finisher, but I think thats more due to the inconsistency in the NBA's reffing last year, which Tim Donaghy brought to public attention that it actually did exist.</p>

What is Gordon supposed to do if the other team can just hack him with no reprecussions? Its damn hard for him to finish with the way he was being hacked in the lane last year.</p>

Like, everyone knows Marcus Williams is already the next Jason Kidd, but its just the refs that get in the way...</p>

I'm sure Vince Carter would hit 90% from the arc, but its not his actual shooting ability that brings it lower, just the inconsistency from the refs...</p>

So Ben Gordon now has great PG ability, and is an amazing finisher (although some vast conspiracy keeps us from seeing it), and Luol Deng is one of the greatest to play the game. Next you'll be telling me that Spencer Hawes is the next Shaq</p>
