I was thinking of Blake instead of Daniels, but went with Antonio for two reasons: 1) Experience (which I needed) and 2) His ability to play the 2 position.

in my opinion Blake is one of the more underrated players in the league. He's basically everything you could ask for in a point guard.

I am a huge Blake fan.

If you are looking for a great backup PG, he's your man. And the better your team is the more he will help you.

Daniels is a better player, though. He's a better scorer and defender and can excel in any system.

Blake is among the multiple point guards available that are better than Derek Fisher.

I have no idea who Derrick Fisher is.

If you're talking about that guy on the Lakers that has won three titles and comes up big in the playoffs. Well yes. I know that guy. I did pick him.

well, you made a great choice. the best ast/to ratio in the league, look it up. looking back, i'm disappointed i didn't pick him.

Steve Blake is still a great choice, and IMO was the best point guard still available.

We're talking about the same guy with a dismal 11.4 PER, 41.8 eFG%, 51.0 TS% that's too slow to keep up with athletic point guards, right?

JCB's up.

Guys, remember to PM the person after you. I'll excuse you for not doing so, Premier, since it is so late. I'll let it slide, haha.

anyways, thoughts on Travis Outlaw? i figured i couldn't go wrong with him.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the last few picks. Harpring is definitely a steal, and Blake is ideal for a backup point guard, but the rest.... eh.

Ah well, more for me to pick from when I finally get up!

QUOTE (Premier)

Boo RebelSun. Boo. One pick before me, too.

You know I like Ronnie.

I'll get the first post on the selection thread up to date later today

We're also talking about a guy that has won three rings and has come up big in the playoffs time after time again.

Now how has he accomplished what he has accomplished if his statistics aren't that great?

Like the Quinton Ross pick a lot, I'm sad he's off the board.

QUOTE (Arrpy)

What do you think of Brendon Haywood?

Tell Eddy to keep his hands up and protect his face during practice.

I'm pretty thrilled I was able to nab Harpring this late in the draft. I strongly considered taking him with my 5th round pick. He's one of the best 6th men in the NBA and is a perfect fit for my team. He's an aggressive, physical defender who's tough as nails and provides veteran leadership, as well as the ability to spend some time at both shooting guard and power forward if need be. He's not too shabby on offense either.

i like the ross and haywood picks. good picks. haywood especially, that's one of the defensive centers i was thinking about.

Harpring is a quality role player, you just have to hope he stays healthy.

I'm not arguing that Fisher is not clutch. I'm arguing that he is not good.

Fisher always seemed like a guy who made the most of his limited abilities. He's really old now, and may only be good for a handful of minutes here and there.

he kind of messes up my whole alphabet scheme, but i didn't really like anyone else left this round.

A period during which his MPG have been steadily going down.

I think Dorell Wright could end up being a major steal this late.

True, but I don't need him for any more than 25 mpg, so he'll be fine in my system. As for Dorell Wright, meh.
