Science Flat earth vs Globe earth

I think because youtube has decided to promote this idea lately, I've been seeing a ton of videos on my "suggested feed" of flat earth vs not flat earth debate videos.

I find the videos funny. Especially the ones who say the sun is 70 miles away, or that that the moon is really tiny, etc.

Why couldn't they just get into a plane and go high enough to see the curve of the planet? Why hasn't anyone found the edge?

I spent years living among the Msit people. They are kind and generous, but in their culture it is considered proper to comment loudly upon your most prominent body part when you enter the room.
