"Some observers think the judge accused Flynn of not fully cooperating, and that Flynn is therefore hiding something. Not the case. Mueller already confirmed that Flynn gave up everything on all the big fish. That ship has sailed. Everyone Flynn has sold out is screwed"

Shit is going to get crazy as Magats have no choice but to realize they have been fed a crock of tripe for 2 years.
I don't think they'll ever come to that realization. I guarantee Maris thinks it's the deep state conspiring against Flynn, not that Flynn ever did anything wrong.

That logic will just apply to everything. I mean, I saw republicans on twitter today applauding Flynn and that he's essentially playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. I tried to follow the logic but I got super busy at work and stopped caring.

Have any of you gone down the MAGA twitter rat hole intentionally? It's remarkable.

So, looks like Flynn's gonna get locked up. How ironic.
He's got three months to sweat it out.

OMG Flynn got humiliated by the judge. That was awesome!

The Judge lambasted him and asked the prosecutors if they could charge him with treason. Damn!!

Here's the thing....I have to work long hours and don't have time to follow this stuff. I quickly scan these threads and see these types of posts and think to myself "Wow!!!!!!!"

Then I read an article on CNN (yes,CNN) and find out that as usual you guys gloss over certain parts of the story.

Like this...
Sullivan also reversed course on questions he had asked regarding treason. "I'm not suggesting" Flynn committed treason, Sullivan said. "I was just trying to determine the benefit and the generosity of the government."

"Don't read too much into the questions I ask," he said in court on Tuesday afternoon.

Bottom Flynn is another crook connected to Trump. The walls are closing in on Donnie.

Flynn is a crook and the judge tore him a new asshole regardless of if the judge walked himself back. Sly and I were surprised by the judges reaction and commented on it.

Flynn could have and perhaps should have been charged with Treason. I'm certain he would have been convicted. So, why not charge him with Treason? I don't think anybody can answer that with certainty but I suspect it's got something to do with getting him to cooperate more fully with Mueller's team.

I believe it is not treason because he was not an unregistered agent of a foreign government when he held his official security adviser role.

He was caught telling lies about it to federal agents - and it is hard to argue that he had the country's best interest at heart when he was an unregistered agent of a foreign country - but if he had no official role - it is not technically treason, at least based on my understanding.

He is still not someone that one should be proud of - as an American...

I don't know the details but I've heard a former Federal prosecutor say he could have been charged with Treason. I presume the former prosecutor knew what he was talking about. Perhaps it had to do with a conspiracy involving the Russians during the campaign.

And what about Flynn's argument that the FBI never warned him to tell the truth. So, now you have to be told to tell the truth when being interviewed by the FBI?

Based on what came out publicly in court - to my understanding (and I am definitely not a lawyer) - it seems that the judge asked about treason because he got the timeline wrong - but given that he was no longer working for the Turkish government when he was security adviser - it is not a treason case.

I think even the judge wondered if he couldn't have been tried for Treason. Also, as I mentioned, it may not have had anything to do with Turkey but rather Russia.

The problem with treason is that the definition involves aiding a country that we are at war with - technically we are not at war with Russia (or Turkey, or Saudi Arabia, or Israel, or the UAE, or any other countries Flynn was working for).

I think you are wrong. The "them" refers to the United States. Flynn definitely gave aid and comfort to our enemies. Russia is NOT an ally.

Article III specifically states:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted."

It's certainly possible I am wrong. Depends on what the Founders meant by "Enemies". When Marzy wakes up from his nap we can ask him what he heard in the room the day Article III was drafted.

You realize "9 lawyers" refers to Hillary Clinton'ss notorious Fake FBI interview by Comey? :dunno:

It's too bad that there aren't 9 lawyers in the world willing to work for Trump, he certainly needs many more than 9.

The judge stumbled badly over the line of obvious bias against the defendant, and probably poisoned the tiny thread of entrapment Mueller had over Flynn.

So was the legal world.

I expect the judge will be seeking an early retirement very soon.

I think he's tried to hire a few but any lawyers that know their butt from a hole in the ground have turned him down. You see, they don't want to go to prison for trying to win on what Trump tells them.

By the way, in case I haven't said it before, there's a damn good chance Trump is headed for jail. Which means all the dummies that supported him are up to their little ears in crap for believing that gangster hook, line and sinker.

I heard he was asleep while that meeting was going on.

Well, to be fair he was so much older then. He's younger than that now...

This is what I saw. A biased judge who probably watches CNN all day that realized he displayed his obvious bias and then tried to downplay it. An alibi letter if you will.
