Match Flow - The largest change to matchdays in a Sports Interactive game since the introduction of the 2D match engine. Match flow brings more atmosphere to matchdays with match previews, team talks, opposition player instructions, the match itself, half time and post match now seamlessly following on from one another. There's no more pausing to make tactical changes and you'll find a mini-radar pitch whilst making those tactical changes to keep you in touch with what's going on in the match.

Confidence - You can now easily tell what your board and supporters think about your performance in the game through the new confidence section. This gives you feedback not just on your current progress in competitions, but also your financial management and signings.

Easier to Use - A much cleaner skin, a brand new advisor system to help you through various areas of the game, a new notes and notebook system, better button positioning for simpler navigation and an updated tutorial and manual. Also, coach reports to make taking over a new team easier and a new calendar system - which lists all important dates throughout the season - help to make Football Manager 2008 the easiest Sports Interactive game to use yet.

Fan Days - The board can now arrange fan days to boost ailing attendances, or for matches that are likely to attract a low crowd, with a long-term affect to attendances if all goes well.</div>

There are plenty of other new features listed as well. Also open today is the official website for Football Manager Live. I'm not really interested in this though because it completely focuses on online play.

Yeah, I'm not excited about FMLive either. Never really got connected to online play (no pun intended).

As for FM08, it's looks great, I checked out the website yesterday and the new features look very impressive. Fan days are a nice addition and everything else has been improved. I can't wait to play with Barcelona, I already have the tactics in mind.

That's cool, Bar?a will be a fun club to manage what with Messi, Henry, Ronaldinho and of course Eto'o at your disposal among many others. I just don't like that they split the Guily-Ronaldinho factor. Those two had a great connection. Anyway, I'm looking forward to using the edit feature that comes with the games each year to create my dream team. Each year on PES and FM I like to create my dream team with custom players. They don't have superman stats or anything close to such, they just mold perfectly with one another to form the perfect footballing unit.

I'm also looking forward to using Lazio because if you noticed of all the clubs out there only Lazio hasn't lost a single player during this transfer window and it doesn't look like they will either. Everyone is really dedicated to the club and I like that personally. I'm exciting about using them. I'm also interested to see if they applied the superstar rule to MLS. The thing I hope for most is that they have better looking kits and more of them because the last few games had poor quality and poor quantity. Not a big deal, but it'd be a plus.

I didn't know Lazio haven't lost anyone to transfers yet, that's odd and impressive as well. But have they brought in any good players? I haven't checked the Italian league's transfers in a while, time to check...

Anyway, I'm going to try and play more leagues this season, probably get more into Holland, France, Germany (Bayern are looking unstoppable) and Italy (haven't played there too much, despite a few stints here and there). I might even try the MLS, though I doubt it since my knowledge of that league is limited and I'd rather learn more about the European leagues than about the MLS. They'll probably overrate Beckham by 200% as well.

I don't think they've added any major things like the last couple of years (last year's feeder teams, 2 years ago's halftime/post game comments, etc.) but it looks like they've improved the game overall, which is good. The kits I think are tough to license, so most of them will probably be plain again, but you can download edited kits from the net a short time after the game it released (usually).

I'll start a game either unemployed or at the bottom club in England (6th division down) and try to build a career over a 20 year span. Last time around I started unemployed and managed to become England manager.

I'll never be able to stay manager of a team for 20 years. Not that I'd get fired or anything, I just find it too boring. Plus, after around 10 years most of the players in the game aren't real anymore and IMO it isn't fun to play with a 36 year old Ronaldinho and a 30 year old Messi (

)+some 22 year old "fake" superstar. Maybe it's just me.

Lazio brought in a few good young players most notably including Aleksandar Kolarov from OFK Belgrade and Juan Pablo Carrizo, a top young keeper from River Plate to replace the retired Angelo Peruzzi. Other then that I see no point in them really making any major changes considering how strong their best starting eleven and five subs are. Take a look for yourself.

That right there is Serie A contender material and late Champions League as well. I'd like to see how far they can go though I don't expect them to win of course. Goran Pandev is the best player in Macedonian history IMO and Rocchi is one of the best strikers in Italy and the most underrated player in the Serie A along with Pandev.

Anyway, if you want some help getting into the Euro leagues, give me a shout. I know all about Germany, France, Switzerland, Ukraine, any of them really.

Think Franchise mode on NBA Live/Madden, but the games are all simmed. But, its 100x more detailed, entertaining, and addictive.

I change team if I'm offered a better job. This just makes it more of a career mode. I find it interesting to have to scout to find out the greatest players: I rarely use the player search, as real managers cannot.

My point exactly. The fake players are ok when they aren't the majority, but when 60% of the database is fake, it's boring to play.

Hey guys, check this out.

For the last few months I have been slowly working on my own customized created league for FM. My own clubs, my own kits, etc. Well, I've finally finished it and I thought I would share the kits for all of the clubs, some information and get some opinions if possible. I would appreciate the feedback.

A brief explaination of the league is that it contains 18 clubs in the first division. The league is called Illinois League 1 and is sponsored by Goose Island; a beer company of Chicago. It is a semi-pro league and each club is from another small city or town from the state of Illinois. Each club has custom players and staff, but are not very big. Even with on and off work over many months there was no way I could put together large amounts of created people on each club! lol

This website here helped me find names to use to created people.

Each club also has a unique story to their colors and other things that may be funny and/or interesting. For instance I chose the black and white stripes for Joliet because it is the place where our famous prison is located that is used for the show Prison Break. Some clubs are also homages to several real clubs.

I'm currently still working on a State Cup, which would act like a National football cup in Europe and I am nearly finished with the second division so that there can be relegation and promotion. Here are the clubs below!
