I was vegetarian for about 6 years in my 20s.....I went vegan during SARS in Taipei when I was there for 8 months and generally I go vegan when I have issues with my heart or health.....every Chinese doctor I ever visited with any ailment always said....stop alcohol and stop meat .......so I did....now I'm completely off alcohol and don't miss it but still enjoy meat and seafood...we don't eat large quantities of meat at a meal...I think that's the difference...I have seafood more than red meat...trout every week because I catch trout and freeze them. Chicken is the main protein ...some pork and virtually no beef....my wife grew up buddhist and never acquired a taste for beef.
I don't miss it.

Beef is my jam. I could do with out Pork or chicken. But if it’s not good for your ticker than you gotta definitely stay away from that. How do you cook your trout? Do you smoke it?

Indian food and Filipino food has never done it for me. I had Filipino egg rolls one time and they were awful. India’s iteration of curry is not my cup of tea.

There are different kinds of egg rolls. The deep fried ones with the meat fillings are good. The ones that aren't deep fried with a bunch of veggies suck

Yeah that’s the kind I had. Used to have a route over by 52nd and division. There was a Vietnamese food cart at the pod. An American dude and his wife who was Vietnamese and spoke no English. I tried that place probably 3 times because I felt bad that they never got any business and was completely underwhelmed every time.

Not nearly as picky as when I was younger. A few things I will never try again. Sauerkraut, sushi and eggs. No thanks to any of them. As for Eggs. Who was the person that watched a egg come out of the southbound end of a chicken and thought. Damn I need to try that.

Haha damn dude you’re still really picky. Those 3 on your list are some of my favorites.

grill the trout...sometimes fillet it and deep fry but usually grill the whole fish with scallions and mushrooms in the middle...baste it with cumin and curry garlic , lemon and chili sauce ...I used to roll them in rock salt and wrap them in tin foil and then grill them on the BBQ...my son borrowed my BBQ 4 years ago and still has it...he just got a smoker for Xmas and sent me some smoked salmon yesterday his father in law caught...delicious!

Vietnamese are my favorite egg rolls. There are so many different kinds, you wrap it the egg rolls (fried is the best) in aromatic greens and then dip it in Nuom Choc (some fish sauce mixed with other shit). There's also one here that has one with sausages which are fucking bomb.

Thai curry in coconut milk is our jam.....I can eat that every night....Indian Food has a ton of sugar in it usually...I like the way they do eggplant and chick peas

I love indian food. miss my indian buffets thanks to the covids.

I love my Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala (yeah, its a british dish but whatevz).

I love Japanese tonkatsu curry, I get it extra hot where it burns my mouth and eat all the pickled veggies on it.

Interestingly enough, I love Vietnamese food, but I'm not a fan of pho (which is most popular here in the US) at all.
I love their flat noodles with basil and squid, shrimp, etc...basil makes Vietnamese food just rock for me....I almost never order pho...I love the seafood soup and the fried octopus

I do like Bun Cha, especially with an eggroll in there.

My wife and I seldom go out to eat anymore as she's a great cook but when we do it's either Thai food or Vietnamese food...I have better Chinese food at home than they have in Eugene....sometimes I'll hit up a Mongolian BBQ or sushi bar but we make sushi at home too so it's a waste for us at the price...I'll get fish and chips from a local place from time to time..

It's way beyond Viagra....and I love the stuff...uni, sourdough bread cheese and a bottle of wine at the beach around the campfire....had many of those nights...to me anyone eating a bag of pork rinds will gross me out....those things are like deep fried farts....not that I'd know that ...just a guess

Ever had Uni spaghetti? Its a trip, there used to be a japanese pasta shop I used to hit up here, but it closed. Had all of that shit. Uni is pretty good, but I haven't been on an expensive sushi kick lately, I've been doing the crazy fusion rolls.

Out on the Redondo Pier, at Quality Seafood, you can buy Uni in the shell, still alive, and they cut it open and you scoop it out. Sounds good, but honestly, the ones that are pre-sorted are higher quality than the live ones since its more consistent.

No but I'd eat that right up! We do simple avocado rolls at home every week...just nori and avocado and sushi rice...will grill some protein on the side and stir fry some veggies

I've also had Uni Rissoto, its a very concentrated flavor.

I can live on nori avocados, rice and roe...salmon, shrimp, flying fish or sea urchin roe...that's some kickass nutrition

I know, I used to be more into Sushi. Its just an expensive habit.

Used to do a lot of sake and Asahi back in the day, nowadays, I'm just drinking iced tea with it.

We go at a Fort Stevens usually. By Warrenton. Sometimes we’ll go on the Washington side.

I’ve never done the Geoduck thing. My dad has. Can’t you only get those by the piglet sound?

Its been a while, but the old school chinese seafood restaurants in the PNW had steamed geoduck, it was awesome.

I'm not a big fan of American style ham. Like the honeybaked ham n' shit. I love the italian and spanish hams though, but the american ham doesn't do much for me.

I think NY Pizza is overrated. I mean its good, but doesn't blow me away like people say it should. Same with NY Hotdogs, they are fucking whatevz. Chicago Dogs blow the shit out of them.

What is a food you refuse to eat?
I refuse to eat artichokes, avocado, tomatoes, orange juice, spinach, chocolate, baked potato, beans, coca cola, bananas, dairy products except small portions, cottage cheese, cheese, certain nuts and seeds, cream cheese, cantaloupe, papaya or any other food high in potassium or phosphor.

I eat all those except coca cola. Don't drink soda.

Grow artichokes, oranges, tomatoes, beans, spinach.

Meat. But I make an exception for social occasions. To conform. Therefore, I avoid being social. This means that I must have no friends. To achieve this goal, I post anti-Blazer thoughts on a Blazer board, to be everyone's opponent. Using this strategy, I can avoid eating meat.

So you refrain form eating The Fear of the Cow! Bravo
