Football can't start enough

Most people at some point need help. That's OK. I did. However, you have to have a work ethic and be willing to do whatever it takes to make it. Kids today are pathetic. Soft. No drive. I can't wait to see how many losers I taught who will get some degree and just expect to get a job. They won't get crap and they will give up right away.

As for obama I'd like to say it's funny, but it's most definitely not funny ... On election day, I had to go into houses of a large majority of unemployed. And when I say unemployed, I mean people who don't work, and don't want to work. Election day was the one day where I found these houses vacant, because the tenant had to get out and vote because they were concerned they were going to lose everything that we as WORKERS pay for. Any other day, they are getting up at the crack of noon so that they can watch game show's or Jerry Springer.

the fact that there are people who abuse the system does not mean the policy in place to help people is wrong or bad. What the problem is the way the system is organized. My father was a union electrician who worked his ass off from the 60's all the way until he was forced to retire in the early 00's. There were times when the construction business was booming here on long island. there were also times when it was dead. During those times (thank god none that I remember) my father was unemployed, he had to go down to the unemployment office and prove he was wiling and able to work before he could collect anything. There were times he took out of state jobs so he could provide for his family.

Now all you need to do is log onto the unemployment web site and submit help me and you get a check. (I know there is a bit more to it but since ive never been unemployed ive never gone to the site). The idea to help someone get through a rough patch is a great idea.....

Same goes for workers comp insurance. ...how many fuckheads abuse the system? Why...because it is too easy to get away with it.

I don't have a problem helping those who genuinely need help (and their are plenty), but I am tired of being a surrogate father for those who choose to sit on their butt and do nothing, just because they can. The system would work just fine, if it had checks and balances ... which it is supposed to have.

As for your Father, I applaud him. My father worked a full time job, and when he needed to would take a part time job at night (before I was born) to bring in more money to assist where needed.

Now more than ever I want a time machine. I want to work with people like your fathers. I work with children and its infuriating. I work hurt, sick, and just about any other ailment until I drop. They go home with a belly ache. To be honest though, I might look into disability, at least a little, so I don't wind up permanently broken.

For an example, I work with a lazy lady who sprained her ankle, pretty badly at that. She's been out of work for 6 weeks. Six Weeks! I have two herniated discs in my neck, degenerative arthritis, and all sorts of other maladies that go with it, like nerve damage, and I've missed 8 full work days in 6 months for it. All the while, she's collecting unemployment and workman's comp (she didn't even hurt it at work, just came back and rehurt it to get it). I got nothing, couldn't get anything if I tried. Where's the justice? Ugh.

Tomorrow will be the 9th day, as I reinjured myself today, and had to go to the doctor.

Oh man, would I love a time machine. I would go back 30 years and warn everybody about what they have to look forward to, unless they get their shit together. Of course they'd probably just lock me up in the looney bin, so maybe I go back and make a few major investments instead. :ghoti:

Puckmeat ... hang in there my friend

I can't! My hands don't work so well anymore. LOL. Thanks man, I try :)

All in all, it could be worse, I could be that lazy bitch I work with (sometimes, lol).
