Cannot the bullpen hold a lead? good grief...

Yup. I felt it was what it was, total desperation by Girardi. I somehow I feel this will show on Mo in 2 or 3 days down the road. You got to figure he is not available tomorrow right?

The pitching was better than it has been but the offense lacked today, then Ichiro runs to a win.

Mo is just not fooling anyone anymore. He's a great career & I hope he goes out on a positive note. Meaning 3-4 more saves before the season ends.

Heard John Hart say on MLB that the Yankees got some bad breaks due to poor pitching in this series. The Red Sox more or less gift wrapped this Game today but in turn the Yankees gift wrapped a couple themselves. Game three the Bostons just took charge and won. Bad gig that they lost three but at least they fought back.

Mo's stuff doesn't move anymore, the cutter ain't cuttin', it's really just a straight fastball at this point, if he spots it he'll get outs as we've seen but he's not dominating anyone anymore, and in a big spot against the better teams he's toast, he knew it was coming, retiring at the perfect time.

42nd save for a guy who doesn't have it anymore

the dimished mind of a soon to be 40 year old
