At least they're teaching the 3-point stance at OSU now.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5491740

An Oregon State University offensive lineman has been dismissed from the team after police say they found him naked and intoxicated in a stranger's home and had to use stun guns to take him into custody.

Corvallis police say they received the call about a naked intruder early Sunday.

Responding officers ordered 19-year-old Tyler Patrick Thomas of Kalispell, Mont., to get on the ground, Lt. Tim Brewer said.

Thomas refused and instead dropped into a three-point stance like a football player and lunged at the officers, Brewer said. At that point, he said, two officers fired their stun guns.

Brewer said Thomas "absolutely was intoxicated" at the time.

Thomas was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Benton County jail and later released.

Gives whole new meaning to the school fight song.

"OSU our pants are off to you..."

Go figure a drunken football player/young person does something stupid. As I understood it, he's off the team (although I hear that if there's an important game in the season, the Oregon Ducks would let him play on their team).

Since I know there will be a sheep reference, at least he didn't punch anyone, steal a laptop, get caught with pot, or effectively get kicked off the team twice and transfer to Ole Miss. ;)

I know...I was thinking that that little prank cost him around 40k in scholarship money. Kind of sucks.

Well, I hear the military's hiring. :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!

Got drunk.

Got naked.

Entered some lady's house.

Police called.

Police confronted player.

Player dropped to a 3-point stance.

Police jump started player.

I love it.

I don't see the problem. A three-point stance is entirely appropriate for an offensive lineman.

but but but but The Ducks are the Thugs no one else!!! Right Tlong? ;)

Dude is lucky they didn't pop a cap in his ass.

sad but predictable. Liquored up meatheads do stupid things. I've known idiot football players from many HS's and several colleges including (OSU and UO)... stupid clearly has no team allegiance. Hell I was at a dinner with several older 49er greats the other night who were making fools of themselves drunkenly hitting on waitresses 20+ years younger then them.

does anyone really think this will have OSU fans not looking down their noses at the Ducks for their offseason? As a Duck fan I'm actually looking forward to that now just for the rich hypocrisy.

I'm just enjoying the sound of (some not all) fans who are now moving out of their glass houses.

Minor loss, major embarrassment...nothing more, nothing less.

...but at least he wasn't a Heisman Candidate QB going into his Senior year with National Championship aspirations!

oh we arent questioning the talent gap in players we lose vs the players you lost... that was never in question. ;)

I don't think this is thuggish though. Just incredibly stupid and hilarious.

lol this story gets weirder and weirder,

n particular, this case stands out for what police saw when they got into the house: they found Oregon State football player Tyler Thomas drunk and tearing up a room of people he didn't know.

"My understanding is he was damaging some of the upstairs office property," Peterson said, "and I believe he was urinating on a computer."

Urinating on a computer?

Do I have to say this?

Yes, I do.

OK, here goes- he must have been really pissed off.
