Unfortunately, the idea that Islam can be tolerant of gays and women are the minority. Check out the video from a Muslim meeting ( I think it was in Sweden). Anyway, they denounce radicalism but then talk about how they hate gays, and say that because its in their religion to hate gays it's not extremism. W/a show of hands who support this, but denounce extremism, the entire Muslim crowd raises their hands.

I do not even know what the term Radical Islam means for sure. Many of the objectionable practices of the followers of Islam are not because they belong to some radical mosque or sect, they are part of Islam. Take the stoning as and example in islam. It is part of the scripture of Islam, taken right from Mosaic law in the Torah as it is in Christianity. Jesus reformed the Christians though, so adulters are not stoned. Somewhere along the line the Jews reformed also. However, Mohammed did not.

To say that following the teachings of Mohammed is Radical does not make sense to me and I doubt it does to most of the followers of Islam, except the few that do wish to reform Islam, because they feel it is needed, just as Jesus did for the Christians and who ever did for the Jews. The hate of gays come straight from the mouth of Mohammed, in the Hadiths, nothing radical about that until it is officially made radical and nobody raises their hand to the question you shared.

When they get rid of a plethora of crap suggested for the Infidel, including lying to him when ever possible, then we might begin speaking of Radical Islam with some meaning.

This isn't trying to suggest that Islam doesn't have a problem with modernity, but if the issue is home-grown converts being radicalized, the question for me is how much insecurity are people willing to put up with for freedom? You can't have total security in a society and freedom; the two things feel almost mutually exclusive to me (which extends to the right to bear arms, the right to consume narcotics, cigarettes, or engage in any potentially "dangerous" activity).

How many terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by refugees?

Well, I am not entirely focused on narrowing it to just "terrorist" attacks, or murders. Immigrants and refugees aren't relegated to only terrorist attacks. Plenty of illegal aliens have been documented recently committing violent crimes against American citizens. Also there are cases of immigrants fostering, harboring, and/or generating support (money, guns, etc.) from the US as a refugee or immigrant towards Al-Qaeda, ISIS, or other terrorist organizations. Also, when I say are you willing to bet American lives, I also include the idea of "quality of life"; meaning, are you willing to bet that the quality of American life stays the same if we continue to allow people into this country who shit all over gay people and women. It blows my mind that Democrats continue to want to try to inundate our country with people that worship a religion that hates gays and women, oh and dogs. (fuck that...)


I'll do my best to supply evidence for my post here; I don't have all day, so I'll do a quick search around the inter webs:

Idaho has had two post-9/11 terrorism-related cases (note, this was a thwarted planned "attack".)
No one was wounded or killed. One resulted in a conviction, the other ended in acquittal.

Only one involved a refugee: Fazliddin Kurbanov, an Uzbekistan national who was admitted to the U.S. in August 2009 and resettled in Boise, was arrested by federal agents at his Boise apartment on May 16, 2013, on terrorism charges after being indicted by Idaho and Utah grand juries.

Another oft-cited terror-related incident involving refugees came in 2011, when two Iraqi refugees in Bowling Green, Ky., were charged with attempting to send weapons and money to al-Qaida in Iraq. Mohanad Shareef Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan came to the U.S. in 2009. Both men admitted to killing U.S. soldiers in Iraq; they did not wound or injure anyone in the U.S. Both men pleaded guilty. In 2013, Hammadi was sentenced to life in prison; Alwan was sentenced to 40 years.

Fact checks and memes spread online have suggested that these men and Kurbanov are the only refugees arrested on terrorism-related charges — or, in some cases, implied that no terrorism cases have been brought against refugees at all. But there are others.

Last October, for example, Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan pleaded guilty to trying to provide support to the Islamic State. He entered the U.S. as an Iraqi refugee in 2009; news coverage suggests his involvement with the group (which didn’t exist under that name at the time) didn’t start until at least three or four years later. News reports say he spoke of attacking a Texas shopping mall.

In March, Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, a Palestinian born in Iraq who came here as an Iraqi refugee in 2012, was charged with providing material support to terrorism overseas. Specifically, the Justice Department alleged that he traveled back and forth between the U.S. and Syria, helped an Islamic State-affiliated group fight the Syrian government and then lied to U.S. officials about it later.

And in early 2015, six Bosnians — three who had become naturalized U.S. citizens and three who had refugee or legal resident status — were accused of trying to provide material support to the Islamic State overseas, routing money and supplies to another Bosnian who served as a foreign fighter for various terrorist groups in Syria. Their cases have not yet concluded.

• Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Somalia who lived in Oregon, was charged in an undercover sting operation with attempting to set off a fake bomb supplied by undercover FBI agents at a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in Portland. He was sentenced in October 2014 to 30 years in prison.
• Yassin Aref, a Kurdish refugee from Iraq, was convicted in a counterterrorism sting operation in 2006. According to the New York Times and the Albany Times Union, an undercover federal agent told Mohammed M. Hossain, Aref’s co-defendant, that he planned to assassinate the Pakistani ambassador to the U.S. in New York City and then sell the weapon for $50,000. The undercover agent offered to give Hossain a $50,000 loan for improvements to his pizza shop. “According to testimony, Mr. Hossain asked Mr. Aref to attend another meeting with the informant to act, by Muslim custom, as a witness to the loan,” the New York Times wrote.
• Mansour J. Arbabsiar, an Iranian American living in Texas, was convicted on charges of “plotting to hire assassins from a Mexican drug cartel to murder Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States,” according to the New York Times. He pleaded guilty to “conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries and two counts related to murder-for-hire,” the Times said.
