<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>McHale is the worst GM in the history of the NBA. I really don't see the fit Love has next to Jefferson. They are both offensive-oriented PFs who need the ball in their hands to be successful. Both are undersized and neither of them are good defenders. Minnesota is as bad as the Knicks organization.
Now Memphis is putting together a solid team. The Gasol trade leaves everyone speechless though.
PG Conley Jr.
SG Mayo
SF Gay
PF Warrick
C Darko
Now go get a PF/C</div>
Actually with Love's passing ability and court sense he's a better fit than people give him credit for. He is not offensive minded, he simple was just to hard to stop in the block in college so of course the coach is having him scoring if he can't be stopped, but he in no means "needs" to be and offensive-oriented player. His passing will prove very useful when he's dumping it off to a slashing Foye or finding Miller for an open jumper.
And as for compairing the Wolves to the state of the Knicks is crazy! Minnesota isn't bogged down with too many ridiculous contracts, they seem to have better chemistry, they have a promising young core and plenty of draft picks in the next couple years (9 picks in the next two years...6 picks next year, three 1st rounders and three 2nd rounders and in 2010 a 1st rounder and 2 second rounders) It seems to me that Minnesota's future is much brighter than New Yorks

I just don't think it is a good idea to trade a player like Mayo who could complement Jefferson for a lesser talent who forces your best player to play out of position. Al Jefferson is not a center and has defensive issues at that position. Now he will have to play there permanently. And I don't see Love becoming a great defender to help mask Jefferson.

I'm not against you in the fact that Mayo can be someone special....I was pissed for a long while after the trade, but for Minnesota it filled two needs for the one Mayo would've provided. With this trade They get the Big man to compliment Big Al and a player who fill it up from the perimeter. And to top it all off they get Jaric's contracts out for a slightly less per year contract with one less year...just in time to have plenty of cap space in the projected great free-agent class of 2010. And with the young core they have, not to mention all the players they can get in the draft or trade for with those picks...Minnesota may be built a great team by the start of the 2011 season maybe sooner
