This. They'd rather editorialize on how long it took Cho to order at an unfamiliar restaurant, or create a rift between players, coaches and fans, than report the news of the day.

I can't believe how talkative Dre was on that video! While I do understand the thought process behind the trade, I'm still sorry to see him go. It was just so fun to see him warming up to us as time went on. His excitement after the Brandon Roy heroics in the play offs was just so fun to watch. I could see he was finally feeling like part of the franchise/team. He must know that he has a lot of fans in Portland.

“I did make some mistakes,” Miller said. “I just had to get used to being back in a city where the focus was all on basketball. It was love-hate for a second, but I made some cool friends. Unfortunately, I had to get moved before I got comfortable.”

That was an evasion of the question. As an experienced interviewee who minimizes his word count, he deflects criticism while admitting nothing other than what is true of any human being, that he sometimes makes unspecified, meaningless, trivial mistakes. That statement says nothing.

I like his masterful ambiguity over whether the city "where the focus was all on basketball" is Portland or Denver. After the amateurish treatment of him from the Oregonian and McMillan, he sarcastically says that the Oregonian's coverage of him "was all about basketball." He is thinking that Denver, not Portland, is the serious city.
