Former Wizards coach Scott Brooks is finalizing a deal with Portland to become Chauncey Billups’ top

CJ/DJJ/Future 1st for Westbrick works financially if DJJ opts in. RW is 32 and on the hook for 3 more seasons but that’s a pretty all in move. We need a big imo but can u imagine RW constantly pressuring the lane then dishing to Dame for wide open 3s.

No I can’t, because Wesrbrick doesn't pass.

I think Dame and Russ would be really good together, and you could basically play two units. I think you'd run a lot of the same stuff that Houston ran with Russ, but the trick would be to get a center that could space the floor with him. If we could somehow ship out Nurk and get Myles Turner or something like that we'd be interesting no doubt. His contract is what makes him so unappealing to me.

Lillard/Powell/Russ/Covington/Turner

Russ is the wrong Wizard,,,you want Beale playing with Dame, .Russ is the opposite of clutch in the last 6 minutes of the 4th qtr he forgets how to pass ...he gets a ton of assists first 3.5 qtrs then can't help himself trying to be Dame time...only to be clank time...Beale and Dame would be dynamic and lethal scoring tandem

Now I can see why you guys like Brooks so much.

Steve Clifford is now available. But oops…..his win/loss record as a head coach in Orlando sucks (like pretty much every other head coach Orlando has had since the Shaq salad days). I guess that disqualifies him as an assistant coach…..despite his proclivity for defensive accountability…..and despite the lack of talent given to him over his tenure….
I don't base coaching off of purely win-loss record so maybe that's the issue. A lot of people are misinterpreting me not being "thrilled" about it as me absolutely hating it, which makes no sense to me.

it's interesting they dropped this on a friday afternoon eastern time again. wonder if they anticipated backlash.

It's probably more likely that the NBA doesn't want distractions from the finals. Plus, it's an assistant coach, is there really any kind of backlash?
