Fox 19 anchor suspended for calling Maddow ‘an angry young man’

A Fox 19 news anchor returned to work on Tuesday after being suspended for calling MSNBC host Rachel Maddow an “angry young man.”

Tricia Macke received a two-day suspension for the comment she made in October, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Macke’s Facebook comments were noticed by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). Last week, the group called on the Cincinnati Fox affiliate to “take swift action to condemn Macke’s remarks,” saying her comment was “completely unacceptable for someone in the business of journalism
