100%. Need to be smart here, try and trade everything that isn't nailed down. Go talk to Panarin now about waiving his NMC, get ahead of it so it doesn't turn into a mess like the Trouba situation. There is no point in pretending this team has a shot to win anything. They should do what that did only once before, send out a letter and look bigger picture next season and beyond (they don't really need to send a letter again, but their actions should reflect looking to next season and beyond).

The worst part is the Rangers have "enough talent" to be bad, but not a god-awful bottom 3 team in the league. Which means if they don't tank/sell sooner rather than later, they'll end up picking 8-10 +/-. That's the real shame of it.

I am hopeful someone will be the adult in the room and understand this team is not good and is going nowhere. The adult in the room needs to be open and honest about that get ahead of it and tank/sell to bottom out. Please someone be that adult and not act as if maybe, unlikely but maybe, battling for the last WC spot matters, it does not.

I wanted Fox traded years ago but to his credit he was having a good scoring season. The Rangers won't suffer defensively with Adam out, gives a guy like Morrow a chance to shine.. Rangers PP 12th in the league, will be interesting to see how the lineup is changed.

Zero interest in McKenna. Not drafting any wing with a top 5 pick unless it's an Ovechkin type and he's not that. You draft a center or a stud number 1 d man. If you get the number 1 pick, you trade back for the mother load.

You probably could get a late 2nd/mid 3rd for Carrick. Soucy maybe a 4th. If someone was willing to offer a mid-late 1st plus a prospect for Laf I would entertain it. Quick could still be a nice playoff backup for a contender.
