Its about time Frank did this. Maybe he might start playing collins the way he should be played; A defensive expert who may play 35+ min or DNP-CD depending on matchups... We will get much better value this way, and he may even get some love on this board too!</p>

Collins definetly needs to spend more time on the bench but I don't see the point of starting someone if they don't deserve it either. Williams has stepped up his game, but the Nets still need a couple more bigs to do the same.</p>

i was confused by the change. not with sean because sean is by far better than anyone whos been playing the 4 or 5, but because twin was out of the lineup vs SHAQ! i mean if twin can't get a start vs shaq then who will he get a start against? twin is actually valuable against shaq and frank had him out. i was supprised because taking him out wasnt needed if you had sean in there. then sub mags for him when zo comes in. idk mags is a big guy too, but when you play shaq this is when you can use twin on him.</p>

overall im glad frank is starting to break down the walls he has put up around him and realize changes are needed. teams are getting way more athletic than a couple of years ago and twin is just a liability. ive always seen the positive twin breaks even though his negatives are more noticeable, but the league is changing and if twin cannot consistantly make a jumper ( we know he could never dunk or make a layup he just cant) then he needs to have his role decreased to a situational bench player. . .that is IF there is a big who wants to take advantage of playing time and be a starter like magloire. the sad part is taht there is NOBODY now who has earned the right to clearly start over twin. when krstic gets healthy then he becomes the replacement, but that seems a long ways away right now. you then have a krstic and sean together that gives you krstic's offense back and sean's defense which is an upgrade over twins defense.</p>

now the question is, when someone clearly deserves to start over twin will frank continue to keep twin on the bench? i dont think so. twin is franks comfort blanket and i think twin will continue to start unless if a team starts out small maybe frank will do the same with sean at the 5 and boki at the 4. let's see what we do tonight vs utah</p>

I was confused by the change as well, xcalibur. I fully expected Twin to start, that would've made the most sense. I mean, in the past, Collins has been shown to be one of the best Shaq defenders in the league, if not the best. Shall we chalk that up to another idiot move by Frank? Possibly..</p>

How about this question, for xcalibur and anyone else who's interested: Will Magloire continue to start, or will Frank put Collins back into the lineup for Mags?</p>

And, another question, how soon do you think Krstic will start?</p>

Krstic will start until he is fully 100%.</p>

I admire Frank that he dares to try to play Magloire against Shaq while we know Collins is a solid defender to Shaq.</p>

But the truth also shows that Mags could defend Shaq well, if we had been conservative,</p>

we would not have known that Mags is a solid low-post defender.</p>

Yeah Frank is pushing out lineups on a due-diligence level, not wanting to bruise any egos he's trying to observe performance rather than "decide" on the lineup he likes. This is how Frank gets his pecking order, and why we start the season in a bubble.</p>

I think it's partly because everyone else is so bad. Improving the frontcourt isn't as simple as replacng Collins with the nearest warm body. If there was an obvious upgrade then I'm sure he would do it. Magloire and Malik Allen have had some chances to contribute but have been absolutely terrible. This would have been Boone's opportunity, but he must really not be showing anything in practice.</p>

I find it weird that with Lenovo Stats, Magloire is the "best" player, as in he has the highest Lenovo stat (which is still negative).</p>

The highest big man combo, though, is Sean and Collins. Next highest is Sean and Krstic, 6 points behind.</p>
