I woulnt do that. You have to give him more tme in practice and at the gym. He is very talented and has potential to become an amare type player. You dont just give that up easily because its hard to find. Maybe he has hit rookie wall but he will be back next season at least 10 times better.
Bottom line is he needs time to bulk up and develop.
</div>
You're kidding right?
You wouldn't trade a pothead for an all-star? We'll see about the
Amare type player stuff...
On coach Frank, at least he knows that Swift is more talented but I never thought that he would play Swift and Williams together in the first place so I'm not surprised.
</div>
First of all.. i kid you not. brand is 30 and will probably want max money which will leave us in a bad position if we have any hopes on signing lebron. Swat is only 20 years old and needs time to develop like all young players do.
And swift is not more talented than Swat. And they cant play together because they are the same players, so then it comes down to whos better? The obvious pick would be sean williams, and thats why swift is in the doghouse
</div>
So.. you wouldn't trade a player who has a 5% chance of becoming an "Amare type player" for Elton Brand?
<u>You do realize that Brand is better than Amare at pretty much.. everything? </u>If he had half the teammates Amare has had in his career, Brand would be mentioned in the same sentence as TD when talking about great PFs.
</div>
Yeah ok.
</div>
Brand has a legit post up game.
Brand's twice the rebounder Amare is, esp. on the offensive end.
Brand is a much better facilitator than Amare. For ex, check APG.
Brand has an excellent defensive rep, while Amare's def always gets knocked on.
-They shoot roughly the same FT%.
-Amare has a slight advantage in FG%, but he gets assisted on about 10% more FGs than Brand does.
-They average roughly the same TOPG, although once again, if you consider that Brand actually plays like a big man while a large amount of Amare's FGs are "catch and dunk" type of things, you can give Brand the advantage.
