Frank finally did it tonight vs. the Twins...It's too bad I couldn't witness it because of the draft...ah well...He received a standing ovation from the Minny crowd.

No disrespect to Frank Thomas, but I think this record would mean a lot more if he weren't a DH for much of his career. Who knows if he'd even be close to 500 if he had to go through the wear and tear of playing defense for an entire season. Either way, it's a great accomplishment along with Biggio's 3,000th hit...

500HR is amazing. 21st players to reach that spot. seems like a couple of magical moments happen today.... in NBA, CFL and MLB. but biggio wouldnt of got 3000 hits if it wasnt for that mis throw....

oh...I thought it was at 9 since the other games in the series were at 9...I was out at two though, so I couldnt have seen it either way.
