Frazier, Pressey vying for spot on Blazers

Frazier showed he can shoot from deep tonight. Based upon his line it looks like he is 1-0.

If Frazier can hit the jumpshot like he did tonight, he's going to run away with the job.

I think Frazier makes it over pressey. Even though I can't stand either.

Also, something interesting last night is it appeared Montero played very little. omari Johnson seemed to play a lot more. I think quick might he onto something with Johnson making the team over Montero

Think they both make it. Montero gets the cut.

CJ is not a PG.

Yeah, Frazier looks like he belongs. At least he did last night. Montero maybe should go. But personally, I thought Connaughton was terrible last night.

Yeah Pat was an undersized Babbitt last night.

Agreed w/ Frazier; I like Frazier (said this in here before) & I've thought Pressey's the better player between the 2 but IF Frazier can continue/consistently play like last night, he's the 1 to stay; Pressey played poorly 1/2 of the time, I think bc he let the pressure of winning a spot get to him too much (seeing Frazier play well before Pressey came in was a big part of his not playing well), the guy's better than this. Frazier rose to the occasion/pressure & Pressey didn't last night; Frazier's defense to me looks much improved.

Agreed on Montero. He's the most raw (not surprising w/ his age/etc.) out of all the guys; I just hope that IF we let him go, he doesn't turn out to b awesome in a few years (w/ this guy, it's easily gonna take 2-3 more years before u can get a good feeling as to what you have w/ him). IF we kept him, I wouldn't b surprised though bc it's so early on w/ him, it's maybe too soon to give up on him yet (if he's here he'd b our 15th guy for which the 14th & 15th don't play in games anyway so it's not bad/won't hurt to have him on the team developing behind the scenes ).

W/ Conny, I can easily see how u feel/say this & I partially agree. The way he looked offensively & his overall stats (although he did have 5 rebs & 3 assists) didn't look good but from the jump, he was out there hustling & constantly communicating; I actually see him becoming a very good defender & his shot (mostly perimeter) will eventually fall. Conny demonstrated his smarts for the game/plays; Dame was asked who individually stood out & he didn't name any1 @ 1st, saying every1 did a good job BUT then he only named Pat & said that he was in the right spots, showed that he knew the plays, & even helped Dame b in HIS correct spots (this is unexpected & awesome!).

Yeah I agree but he deserves more chances. He reminds me of Babbitt, touted as a very good shooter in practice but can't hit shit in games, small sample size so far but that's what I see and the rest of his game is "ugh"

I think despite what we all think is going to happen based on the remise of trying to win games, that our emphasis will not be on whether our 3rd string PG will save us. So IMO the decisions will be based on who has the biggest chance to develop into a more special player in the next 2 years. In other words, Pressy or Frazier will be cut and so will Omari Johnson, yes in favor of Montero and Alexander... And seriously it doesn't matter, keeping Frazier and Pressey over Frazier and Montero won't win us any more games.

Good point re: Connaughton. He did hustle, mostly played smart, and he was strong on the boards. But there will not be much of a place for him in this league of he can't score. At this point, he's still playing like an undersized PF.
