I really wish Dame was as good as Giannis.Hell no. That would be like the Blazers calling up Milwaukee and asking for Giannis for Turner, Caleb, Jake, Wade, and a couple picks. No. Hell no.
This thread sucks so.![]()

I get it you're frustrated the Blazers have been... Frustrating to say the least. Trading Dame just waves the white flag that the Blazers are never going to even try to compete because we can't. Say you go after picks, and you get lucky and get the number 1 pick in the draft for the next 3 years or something, you're hoping that literally ONE of them is as good as Dame is.
I know Dame has his weaknesses but the guy is still a great player. It's the team around him that needs an overhaul, and they need coaching.
I'm all for making some big moves to change the talent around him, and if a gm came in and was dead set they were going to trade Dame they better get more for him than what's been proposed.
I just think trading your best player in his prime tells the whole NBA world whelp we quit and at that point might as well move the team and all that other nonsense. Trading Dame is the wrong move in my opinion.
Dame is a top 5 PG though, and his leadership is invaluable. This whole post is an injustice.Maybe, but these days great PGs aren't exactly rare (which is why it's hard to come up with good trades for him.) Half the teams in the NBA have a good-to-great PG, a PG who can outplay Dame on any given night. True, PGs who can score like Dame are much rarer, but so equally rare are PGs as ineffective as Dame on defense.
Using the word "injustice" for a stupid thread on a stupid message board is an injustice. This whole post is an injustice.
I don't see it. Sure Kyrie is more injury-prone than Dame, but peak Kyrie > peak Dame. When Kyrie is ON he's the best scorer in the game. The Celtics present the best scenario for a trade involving Dame.
Makes you wonder why we're not better.Dame is a top 5 PG though, and his leadership is invaluable.
How so, they have Kyrie already? The Celtics present the best scenario for a trade involving Dame.
I would however swap Dame for the Greek Freak and be happy with that!
Because you need more that a top 5 PG? SMH.Makes you wonder why we're not better.
Agreed. I like Josh Hart best of the bunch. Ingram - I just don't see it. Kuzma is a poor man's Carmelo. I actually don't mind Lonzo, if he could first commit patricide.LA seems is the place that he'd like to go -- he listed the Lakers and Jazz as teams he'd like to play for if he weren't in Portland.
The Lakers really don't have much. Their young talent is overrated.
Ar least you can admit how bad good thread is. Injustice is the right word there.Using the word "injustice" for a stupid thread on a stupid message board is an injustice.
Let’s do this... time to end the slow painful death of mediocrity this team has become... time to start the new era... Lonzo, Simons, Trent, Collins, Nurk + draft picks... that’s a potential contender in 3-4 years... the current team led by McLillard is a dead end

LeBron thinks Lonzo has start potential... but I guess you have a better eye for talent than LeBronThat's a terrible trade. Lonzo and draft picks in the high 20s range.

I like how I (the yellow ball) am kind of indomitable in this emoji.

Dude, Lonzo is a true PG trying to play without the ball in his hands since LeBron is running pointDude, Lonzo has played like crap. That's about as nice as I can put it without breaking S2 rules!
