Last year there would be 2-3 stretches each game where the Rangers could not clear the puck from their own zone, it got to the point where one opponent could plant himself at the blue line and effectively cover and cancel out three Rangers kicking and poking the puck up the boards. I think AV has distinguished himself from Torts in breakout strategy, power play and general puck movement to create scoring opportunities. I wasn't joking about the tip to AV as another poster pointed out this is a common practice drill, not just close to the net but especially on perimeter shots which can be improved with practice.
