Maybe they are going to run him as a SF instead. That is the position we are truly lacking depth.

Seems like a flex forward, which I think is what the team needs most out of a single roster slot. (If they opened up another roster slot, a true center would be nice.) Aldridge can take minutes at center, but that leaves more PF minutes on the table. A guy who can take PF and SF minutes is most useful, in my opinion.

Dunno anything about this guy's game, but he seems to fit the profile.

That would be optimal. The more versatile he is the better so he can fill in at multiple spots.

They are going to have an issue though when he steps in and is better than Martell....:devilwink:

Tough to say. Draft express has him listed as a forward-center, so maybe he's more comfortable playing in the post on defense and floats out to the perimeter to take shots? My guess though is that he's going to be more of a practice player than anybody they are going to give PT, unless there's another injury or foul trouble.

Why do you hate Europe?

The Socialist and Capitalist pigs have thrown communism out of Europe, would be my guess. I think barfo is now only pro-Cuba, North Korea and Albania?

Has anyone posted this yet?

Nope, but it is the article I was referring to in my post in the other thread a few minutes ago. I was talking with my buddy yesterday about how I thought we should call up Tolliver. Looks like KP has a direct line to my computer, considering we drafted Rudy and Batum after I had been championing for them as well.

So YES! Glad this happened...he's who I was hoping we'd pick up. Even if he's more of a 4 than a 3, which is what we really need the most. Someone who could swing both spots would be ideal.

Enough about this cat! He is a warm body for practice, that is all! You really think he will play ahead of Juwan or Dante?

I'm an NBA nerd and I seriously never heard of this hardship thing the League granted the Blazers.

You've never heard of an injury exception? Like how Houston was able to spend an extra MLE-amount of money to sign David Anderson after Yao went down (maybe Ariza was signed with the injury money...either way).

In any case, it's by no means the first time.

well lets see hcp....

he can shoot and make 3's

he gets rebounds

he can score

stop me when you see something duante or howard does. cunningham is useless and howard is a god awful on defense. why wouldnt he play over either? they both suck. d league kids give effort and are hungry

Haven't read the thread, so sorry if someone else said this, but I note that it says that Tolliver is "omnipresent" on the court. He moves so fast from one side of the court to the other, that he "materializes" wherever the ball appears, as in Star Trek.

Tolliver's PER is 19.3, only 19th in the D-League and only 4th on his own team (Idaho Stampede).

If he is so amazing, why isn't he already on a team? Guy won't get any run outside of practice! In fact the only sweat he will work up in the next week will be carrying my bags to my room on this upcoming trip! Pics to come shortly!

he will play. hes better then any backup 3 or 4 we have.

god thats sad.

What are they going to to when he comes in and plays better than Webster?:devilwink:

He is going to complain about KP not making a trade.

Haven't you learned already that there is no cause/reaction here? There is just a reaction. SS. DD.

So wait a minute. If he turns out to be good, wouldn't that mean KP identified a hidden gem and somehow managed to add him to the team? Wouldn't that pretty much invalidate your claim that KP is a shitty GM and talent evaluator?

I bet he could play small forward, but I can guarantee you he will not play small forward on our team. Even in very limited minutes. He will only play if he NEEDS to and that will be at power forward.
