We have to stop hiding from and explaining away the racist evil bullshit people are doing.

I don't see people killing in the name of ANTIFA and BLM but to hear many those groups are our greatest problem.

There are and will always be moments in time and history that can only be explained through image. Words can not express what is happening.

So now we want to let people say all the hateful shit they want on the internet but we can't see the direct result of those words?

Sometimes a story can not be told in words alone, sometimes to give the full scope of what happened you have to use other means.

And 18yr old hunted down and killed innocent people today only based on their race. This story needs to be told in all the means available.

I don't want to let people get away with that shit at all. We need to do more to stop them. We can still see the pictures. My thoughts are with the people who died and I am just trying to have a modicum of respect.

Hell, I just went to the market cause it's family movie night. Went to get some snacks. The whole time I was in there, the shooting was in the back of my mind. I was thinking a shooter could come in and what to do if it happened.

Didn't you do mass shooting drills in your kindergarten classes last week? They were at my GD's school last week.
 
A picture is worth a thousand words....without them people could erase historic atrocities and shrug them off as fake news....burn the photos of lynchings and KKK rallies or cops beating civil rights protestors....if you want all this weaponry you have to deal with the after effects of what they can do in real time. If you can watch Hannibal Lechter eat Ray Liottas brain on film...you can handle a shot of a mass killing......the photos of the concentration camps in Germany and Poland were proof that it wasn't "fakefuckingnews"....if we're not careful the assholes will take an eraser to all their bad behavior throughout history and then say "prove it" when called out for genocide. Sort of like glossing over the Native American trail of tears.

No. We don't do those in headstart. We do lockdown and lockout drills. Is that what you mean?

Pretty damned sad, schools have to do thought at all.

I get that and agree. Not trying to erase anything. Just trying to have some respect for the dead.

Sometimes the way you respect the dead is by showing the atrocities that were done to them.

Would we be respecting those killed in concentration camps if we didn't show the horrors done to them or if we didn't show the pictures at all?
