All of this is moot because I 100% feel that anyone using an AR15 to kill animals is a joke anyway. Getting dressed up in the camo and hiding from a deer so you can shoot an AR at it is pathetic. But hunters love it so I guess it is what it is.
I'm not understanding what point you're trying to make. That it should be illegal to hunt? Or buy a hunting rifle? I don't think there is any appetite for that kind of policy. The supreme court will certainly strike down anything like that as unconstitutional.

So, how do you limit access to the ar15 without limiting those hunting rifles? Considering they are functionally identical...

Never said it should or will be illegal. Just that having an argument over what gun is best for what use is just so fucking dumb to me. I hate all of it. Its pathetic

Virginia shooter just seemed like a grumpy psychopath

The Walmart gunman who opened fire in the break room of the Chesapeake store where he worked last night had a list of the names of people he wished to target.

Andre Bing, 31, opened fire in the breakroom of the Walmart in Sam's Circuit, Chesapeake, at 10.12pm last night, where 14 employees had gathered for a pre-shift meeting.

There were 50 people inside the store at the time, likely finishing some last-minute Thanksgiving errands.

Bing opened fire in the breakroom at the back of the store. He shot ten people before killing himself.

When police searched his body, they found a list of names that contained the names of the colleagues he wished to target, according to local Virginia outlet WAVY, citing an anonymous source.

The gunman named in the Walmart shooting in Virginia that killed six was “disturbing,” known to feud with co-workers and had a “hostile” attitude.

Andre Bing, the store’s overnight team lead, was someone whom new hires avoided, according to Briana Taylor, who started working for the Chesapeake store about two months ago and miraculously survived Tuesday night’s bloodshed.

“He was the manager to look out for because there was always something going on with him, just having an issue with someone,” Tyler told ABC News.

Another co-worker who had worked with Bing for three years said he was paranoid.

Shaundrayia Reese said, “He was always saying the government was watching him. He didn’t like social media and he kept black tape on his phone camera.

“Everyone always thought something was wrong with him,” she told CNN.

I'm guessing Wal-Mart gets sued since they had this psychopath in a position of authority.

A good hunter only needs one bullet. Spraying rounds is not hunting. Manually chambered hunting rifles should have limited capacity for ammo....shotguns don't need 20 shells to hunt. Fuck semi automatic weapons with large capacity magazines.....the problem is with how many bullets they can fire in the shortest possible time. I'll never believe these guns are keeping society safer. I'll also never believe this country will give them up. I lead by example. Don't buy the damned things. I'm going to assume people who support AR15 ownership probably own them. People need to evolve past this need for such weapons. Won't happen in my generation, that's for sure.

I'm asking what you are hoping to accomplish by calling out the ar15. What mechanisms could possibly be used?

Blaming a name or color seems illogical. Which is really all blaming the equally capable form factor of a type of gun is doing.

Like blaming a race of people.

Point being, they have already limited the ar15 to being no more capable at killing than hunting rifles by law. They can't limit them any further without severely restricting hunting rifles. Which isn't going to be accepted anywhere.

Perhaps it would be more effective to focus on other solutions...

I don't own an ar15. Though I may build one at some point.

Changing out a magazine takes less than half a second with not much practice. I was able to do it in far less *than a second* with 20 minutes practice.

I don't think limiting the number of rounds in a magazine will prevent anything. It certainly hasn't in Colorado...

You are 100% correct that we'll never limit these guns in our lifetime.

That's why I try to focus the conversation on other, more productive solutions.

*Edited* forgot a portion of a sentence

In far less than half a second? I'll call bullshit on that.

And I understand that perspective. Depending on what you're hunting.

It's not uncommon to go through 1000 rounds in a day hunting ground squirrel. And AR rounds are closer to the size you want for ground squirrel than deer. Though the AR can be made in larger caliber where it is mostly used for hogs etc. Again, you'll want plenty of ammo.

Wait what? The shooters dad is apparently a former MMA fighter, former porn star, and was also featured on divorce court and intervention. For his intervention appearance he was addicted to meth and masturbated for 10-12 hours a day.

Looks like he got some herpes from his porn star days.

glad they beat the shit out of them before handing them over.
I'm glad it was an unarmed good guy without a gun veteran & local businessman who was there enjoying the drag show with his family... it counters a lot of the stuff spouted by the gun nuts. The cherry on top was that a drag queen was kicking him in the face as the vet held him down. I hope he isn't executed but instead lives a long life behind bars with that story.

The shooter is non-binary

Is there any proof of that besides the claim his attorney made?

Why would you question this?

The attorney is the spokesperson for the suspect.
If the suspect identifies as non binary, then we should respect that.

Please.

It's so laughable that the right is now "respecting" someone's gender identity.

Y'all got liberals fooled, but that shit is as transparent as possible.

So you don't believe if someone identifies as a certain gender classification, we shouldn't believe it as such?

Sure I do, but that's not the point.

When a chud kills a bunch of people and then refuses to talk except for to say that they are non-binary in a bald-face attempt to avoid a hate crime charge / to le epic own the libs or whatever, we have no duty to respect that. It's just the attack helicopter meme utilized as a legal defense.

And, shocker, it's all the right will talk about in regard to the issue. The sealions get their fish.

They just want everyone to ensure that they are not misgendered.
