In a purely vertical hierarchy of morality, such as used by authoritarian conservatives, anyone above can do anything they want to someone beneath them, the underclass. The law is designed to protect them, and restrict the underclass.

All MAGA view themselves as above all “illegals” and therefore have freedom of the law to do anything they want to them. They have added many groups of people to the underclass bucket of “illegals”.

This is the same attitude all police have had the entire time, it’s only expanded to include white people in the underclass very recently. That’s why it might seem illogical and confusing right now, to realize you are now part of the underclass.

This is exactly why I've always supported the 2A and why I've resisted further restrictions that could be abused by Trump (or someone similar, but he's who I've had in mind the last decade or so).

But that wasn't enough. I should definitely be better prepared.

Hopefully it doesn't get to the point that we need to use them, but I hope the center and left is arming up right now.

Disagree. This reinforces my opinion that the left and center should be better armed.

Right now I'm wishing the left and center had as many guns as the right.

The right has tanks, arming yourself only goes so far. The only target I could legitimately take out with a gun is myself, and while that might be something I’ll need someday, I don’t think it’ll make me safer now.
 
When it gets to gunfighting in the streets, there will be guns passed around and if my ability is useful, I’ll get one. Y’all don’t need to be lone wolves with guns. Lone wolves die in the winter. You need to find a community that’s connected to actually doing something to protect your neighborhoods.

Affidavit from witness few feet away said Alex Petti was holding a phone. He did not pull a weapon. He was tackled by ICE who began shooting. Sworn under r oath.

Why? Should that guy have shot ICE today? His gun was meaningless. The guns are for thugs and maga. Everyone else plays by different rules. NRA would be LIIIVIIDDDD if a democrat run ICE shot a maga who had a gun today. Instead it’s crickets.

If the whole crowd had guns. And they all arrested and unmasked those ICE agents it would be a completely different story tonight.

These racist ICE assholes don't want a fair fight. They are cowards and bullies. They are cut from the same cloth as the Jan 6th assholes who beat cops with flagpoless and tried to hang Pence and Pelosi. Carrying a gun against them in public is not going to keep us safer. My 5 year old grandson is not going to protect himself with a gun at school. This will take a massive movement from the civilian sector that overwhelms the masked men who spent years protesting wearing masks. If you want protection, buy a gasmask and a kevlar vest ...they may save your life. Our state police and national guard should be called upon to protect and serve the population without racial profiling or assumptions of nationality.

If you aren't comfortable with it you definitely shouldn't purchase anything.

You can rent guns at shooting ranges to find one you like if you get curious.
