I found this on NBAdraft.net, a report on the knicks cap situation, and I laughed the whole time and then felt like crying.

Well the good part about it is if we wait two years, we'd be out of the "cap hell" so to speak. Houston, Taylor, TT, and Penny will all be done by 2007. I say let's wait and when that 60 million expires, we'll be right on time for some monster free agents.

That isnt funny. The cap situation is sad and embarassing. I didnt even bother reading the article, it's that damned depressing.

What do you think are the chances of Isiah Thomas letting those contracts expire. He already said he was going to do his hardest to trade TT and Penny(where is this man? we really could have used his help). He's going to continue the trend of taking on more salary to (badly)patch this team up. So we're probably still going to be stuck in purgatory by 2008.


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

I don't know. What I hope he doesn't do is give Ray Allen a huge contract Seattle isn't willing to give him.

....I dont think were going to have to worry about that. To be quite honest with you I wish we were in a situation where that could be a problem but right now...nope giving Ray Allen a huge contract is definetely not an issue.

I meant that we cant sign Ray Allen to a huge contract because of the cap situation so that's not something we have to worry about. Worrying about Isiah giving Ray Allen a huge contract is sort of like worrying about paying too much money for gas when you dont have a car.

You might be able to sign and trade, but who do you want that Seattle would want? That's what you have to look at. You need to have an attractive offer on the table before Seattle would pull the trigger.

One last thing....off topic somewhat....but Tribute, why don't you just put "Anyway, I think Isiah Thomas should be fired" in your sig instead of typing at the end of every one of your posts. It gets kind of annoying to read sometimes....just a suggestion though. It would save you from typing it also....who knows....those few seconds could be used doing something else more worthwhile than reiterating that you want him fired at the end of all your posts.

We have not a single player that Seattle wants. Not one! With the possible exceptions of Sweetney, Ariza and Kurt(Ridnour is doing a great job so far dont see why they'd want to ruin it by bringing in Marbury). And I dont think the expiring contracts will do it either. So I'd rather we just stop fooling ourselves and move on to more realistic scenarios.

It really annoys you? Sorry. I was thinking about putting it in my sig but I decided against it. If I keep typing it at the end of every post instead of just put it in my sig people will realize the extra effort I put in typing "Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired." and realize just how badly I want him fired. But if it really does annoy people I'll put it in my sig...tomorrow.
