Just saw this on OLive fwiw:

I live in Miami and the ESPN Affiliate just reported a rumor.
Miami could send Shawn Marion and Chris Quinn and cash to Milwaukee

Milwaukee would then send Richard Jefferson to Portland and Portland would get draft picks from Miami

Miami would receive Travis Outlaw, Raef's contract Channing Frye and Portland would also send Sergio to Milwaukee

This is Wheels big announcement. You broke it and now Wheels doesn't have anything new on Monday. J/K I'm not sure there is any truth to that rumor. It does and doesn't make sense but thanks for the rumor anyway.

I have no idea how he would fit into our system, because he takes a lot of shots on his current team...

Not sure I think its legit either but I thought I would share what i saw

Portland sends: Outlaw, Sergio, RLEC out
Portland gets: Jefferson, Miami draft pick(s)

Meh.

It's probably a good deal, but I can't say I feel very much excitement about it. Not much back for RLEC.

Jefferson would probably help the starting unit out considerably for the time being. The picks could be useful.

Meh.

I think somebody needs to check salaries, because I don't see anyway this works.

If I thought there was a snowball's chance in hell that this was more than internet static, I'd do it myself.

who plays backup PF? and if aldridge is hurt..we are screwed. no way.

i dont think outlaw gets traded unless we make another deal for a PF.

If the idea is that Jefferson is supposed to be better for a starting role than Outlaw, I'll pass. I'd rather stick with Batum's uneven production as he develops and keep Outlaw as a nice weapon off the bench.

Milwaukee doesn't get enough back.

Here's an interesting twist:

Trade

Have Milwaukee throw in some salary to Portland and it works fine (Alexander?) I can see KP interested in that version.

maybe webster is out for the season and the blazers just aren't saying it?

anyhow...i doubt we trade outlaw. i mean sergio to me is def gone by the deadline BUT i dont think we can deal outlaw if we get no PF back.

BUT ITS COMING FROM OLIVE LOL...A NEW RUMOR EMERGES EVERY 32 SECONDS!

werent we linked to jefferson quite a few times with zach???

maybe KP likes him (r-jefferson) Quick did say its a player the blazers have been interested in before.

I'm not sure but between Miami or Milw we should get a backup PF back with RJ to make salaries match. I haven't looked at their rosters to see if anybody is available at the right salary.

you want a prediction?

if we go into the break having lost 3 or 4 of 5......i will guarantee a deal.

Yes, the rumor was we were trading Zbo for RJ but the deal fell apart just before we made the Knicks trade for Zbo.

The Blazers won't go into the break having lost 3 or 4 of 5.

thunder is playing well...knicks are too, and GS is torching teams.

we have trouble scoring if you havent noticed. all those teams are offensive threats. the good news...they dont play defense

I'm not saying this is a done deal but if it is I think they wouldn't announce it until after the game tonight. We would be way to short handed without RJ here. I think we would need to do something else just to get maybe one more bench player we could use if this trade happens.

I have been wrong before but I don't think we will lose 2 or 3 of those games especially at home against the Knicks and OKC twice.

I call BS...

Very weird how this hasn't shown up on any of the various Miami Heat forums on the net, considering this rumor did come out of Miami.

i dont think you can make deals on weekends. Might have to wait till monday to announce.

however on sunday if sergio or outlaw sits.....things that make ya go hmmm

in all honesty i agree with FEZ...i think its a crap rumor BUT honestly the bucks and jefferson might be our perfect trading partner right now IF we can find a backup PF.

Actually isn't it a rule that if players are actively involved in trade discussions they can't play that night?

I don't see how that could be a rule. Often teams sit them so they don't get hurt, which would mess up any deal that is going through the last stages, but I don't think there's a rule unless/until a deal has been submitted to the league office for approval.

That might be true but if it is inforced we might only play Roy and Oden tonight lol.

I wouldn't hate it. I wouldn't love it, but I wouldn't hate it.

No, we don't. We score the ball well, we just play at a slow pace. We have trouble with defense.

Sometimes I feel like MIXUM is in a time loop and is stuck talking about our 2005 squad.

As J Quick has pointed out, for KP to make a deal the player needs to be an individual that will be of use in 3 years, not just now. Frankly, I don't know if RJ will be.

I think it is. I remembered hearing something about it a few weeks ago.
