@ 3:35

Dropping some tidbits on the next GM, apparently.

and 4:35-- steve patterson again.

What a douche.

Will Patterson blame Martell Webster on Pritchard today? How he really wanted Chris Paul, but Pritchard insisted the Telfair was better (while Nash stood in the corner twiddling his thumbs).

The guy's tales keep getting more ridiculous with each successive interview.

Isn't it odd that he's FINALLY agreeing to come on radio shows now? His successor was just humiliated yesterday, and this guy has been all over the place today.

I look forward to hearing him go vs. Canzano in a battle of idiots.

I hope Canzano brings up "erroneous subterfuge". Patterson must be desperate if he's willing to go on Canzano's show.

I thought I read on BFT Twitter that Peterson hung up when asked to come on the show.

haha.. well you gotta give him credit, he's capitalizing on it and it's making himself look a lot better than when he left. Whether everything he's saying is true or not is another thing.

Will Patterson be the Blazer version of the cicada, but every three years? Crawls out of the darkness after a change in management, annoys everyone by making a lot of noise, and then goes back to sleep?

I am trying to sit through his show, but I can't. His callers are just as stupid as he is. I will read the low-lights later.

Look, Tom Peterson had a long and successful career selling inexpensive furniture to the masses. If he doesn't want to be on Canzano's show, why should he be forced to do so?

LOL!!! Dammit!!! I need to quit trying to multitask! More attention on S2 and less on work!

.... And Gloria's too!

Ha, who knows. I do wonder if he's got some sort of agenda by going on all these radio shows, and even agreeing to go on Canzano's even though the guy has ripped him a good one throughout the years. It does make for some interesting radio though.

Quick:
- Larry Miller is going to make the call and going to start the search on Monday. They want a young up-and-coming executive and are looking at No. 2's around the league.
David Griffin of the Phoenix Suns, senior VP of the Suns, is one of the names tossed around.

From what I recall, KP and Griffin had a great relationship.

Blazers are looking for another Kevin Pritchard basically

- Comparing the search for the new GM to how the Seahawks hired John Schneider as GM. Schneider was the Packers director of football operations, and they liked how that turned out in looking for No. 2's and young up-and-comers around the league.

- Quick just got off the phone with Nate, and Nate's done no interviews for assistant coaches yet and hasn't made any decisions. He's talked with Bickerstaff and Lynum, but interviews will be done next week.

- With KP, this was not a one-time event that caused KP to be fired. It was a buildup of transgressions. He was a great talent evaluator and scout, but when being a GM, there's a lot more to it and KP took some wrong turns in negotiating various tactics and PA lost all trust in KP.

- Gomes, Patty Mills or another FA for that 15th roster spot.

- None of the foreigners will be on the SL team. (Claver, Freeland or Koponen)

- Claver met Brandon, and Roy wanted to go one-on-one but Claver didn't want to because he was in street clothes still. And his workout ended up being unimpressive.

If BRoy ever offers me a chance to play 1 on 1 with him, i'd do whatever I can to accept that offer (even if i were playing barefoot on asphalt in the middle of summer).

Come on, Claver.

They are looking for an up and coming number 2, as in someone who hasn't been a GM already. I like it.

KP lost Paul's trust over months on many issues.

dammit but I wanted Buford! :)

I like that they are going for a young GM in the mold of Presti and .....KP

Strange. IF Quick is correct (big if), PA didn't like that KP basically made rookie mistakes as a GM (wrong turns in negotiation tatics) but wants basically another rookie GM. Doesn't make sense. If he wants an experienced negotiator, hire a GM with experience.

I'm curious if something didn't rub the Vulcans the wrong way during Roy and LA's contract negotiations?

Yeah, no doubt. WTH.. way to endear yourself to the franchise player, who's offering to play ball with you and you turn him down. Ouch.

They want a young up and comer who is desperate for a GM job and will take the bullsht that comes with the Vulcans. Unlike an experienced GM. At least for a couple of years.

Which leads me to believe basketball decisions were on the bottom of the list in terms of why KP was fired.

This also tells me the big name candidates weren't interested. They said they want to do what they did with the Seahawks, but Schneider was like the 4th or 5th guy they wanted. They wanted guys out of Baltimore and the NYG first, but it didn't happen.

Claver needs to learn the politics of the NBA. And I'll tell you what, if they were out at the PF,there is a huge room of gear. At the drop of a dime, he could be completely suited ready to play, so that street clothes excuse is horseshit!
