<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Kiki has scouted Gallinari at least twice. I am sure that Rob Meurs, the chief international scout, has seen him a lot more than that. They have reviewed tapes, etc. This is almost always the final step. Nets also attended a private workout for Sean Williams last year. It's not shocking. As of now, he has scheduled two workouts: the Nets and Knicks. After that, he will make a decision whether to do more. What does that mean? He wants a guarantee. Who's his agent? Daivd Falk, who has a tendency to get what he wants.
As for how he plays, there is video of him on YouTube, which has a search button by the way. He isn't Zoran. He isn't Manu Ginobili either. He is a 6'10" point forward and looking at his body compared to that of other 19 year olds in the draft, he is a lot more physically mature than most of the younger players in the draft. He is not the stringbean that Jordan, McGee, Randolph and Green are. He is also the son of a professional athlete and that counts. Take a look at the Lakers: Walton, son of Bill; Farmar, son of Dodger Ron Farmar, Bryant, son of Jellybean. They all developed faster, were more mature quicker. He knows what to expect. Besides he has been a professional himself for four years.</div>

I would second you on that, but I haven't seen
Bargnani play enough in order to be sure. lol.
Anyway, I'm slowly starting to like Gallinari more and more, and I hope he falls to #10 somehow. He can definitely be our next franchise PG, maybe not as good as Kidd or even Starbury, but should become a more than solid starter in a couple of years. I wouldn't even be against letting him play in Europe for another season, in order to improve and gain experience. If we pick him, Harris becomes expendable OR we can use Harris as a 2, since Danilo isn't nearly athletic enough to play the 2 in this league.
Plus, he's an excellent fit for Brooklyn. Remind me who said that the people of Brooklyn wouldn't relate to Italians?

Who would you guys compare him to, from the players in the league right now?
Does DD's comparison of Danilo to Odom sound right?
