<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>The Nets have told writers they haven’t committed to Danilo Gallinari as their top draft pick, but that hasn’t stopped draftniks from thinking Danilo’s a done deal at #10. Five of the 15 top mock drafts have the Nets taking the Italian forward, including all of the top four. At #21, draftniks think the Nets could take another international player, Alexis Ajinca of France, or Kansas Jayhawk Brandon Rush. The draft is June 26.</div>

NetsDaily Mock Roundup #4 - Net Income - NetsDaily Blog

I don't know much about Ajinca, but I like the thought of getting Brandon Rush. Especially if we got Westbrook alongside him, I just have a feeling that could be a good backcourt duo off the bench.

I've read up on this kid and I think he could be good. I mean really good. Like maybe a tougher better Lamar Odom. This kid can play. Is he supposed to fall that far? All the way to #10?

Alexis Ajinca sounds more interesting everytime I read up on him (and hear how he's doing in workouts). He's big, but plays with finesse and has a jumper. Still, the best mock out of those is the NBC Sports first rounder by far

EDIT: here's a two part video on Alexis Ajinca working out; good looking prospect

happy happy joy joy, indeed. (Ren and Stimpy, oh boy)

The NBC sports mock has the wolves taking Eric Gordon at #3.

Not happening.

After watching those videos of Ajinca, I ask myself why is he any less a prospect than DeAndre Jordan or JaVale McGee? He has a 7'8" wingspan, some nice moves, a deep shooting touch, an ability to pass out of the post.

Nets were impressed with his shooting touch and his passing.

And France have eight players in the NBA: Parker, Diaw, Pietrus, Turiaf, Gelabale, Petro, Diawara, and Mahinmi. Not a bad group.

When I watched the first video I was impressed by his range, but thought that he was rather slow footed, and would have a trouble getting that slow-release off in the NBA

I turned on the second video, and swore I was watching Anthony Randolph drive to the hole. It's crazy that for a guy that tall he can drive into the paint like that. He looked a lot quicker than he did in his individual workout, and got his shot up a lot more quickly. It looked like he had confidence in his height to shoot over defenders, and from range too!

edit: oh the one thing I didn't like about him was the one play where he caught the ball on the low block, but decided on a fade-away jumper (which he did make) rather than pounding the ball inside. Heck, he could have dunked it if he wanted to.

Shit I wouldnt be pissed at all if we used our 10th pick to get him. He looks real good.

Alexis Ajinca looks extremely slow for being such a skinny guy. Nice range and everything but he won't be able to post up with that frame and won't be able to blow by anyone too.
