He's gotten a lot better at finishing near the rim. So far this year he's looked like an elite finisher, wheras in prior years he'd go in and fall down and not get a whistle.I fully expect Lillard's shooting percentages/efficiency to increase this year since he said he worked on cleaning up his shooting mechanics over the summer
The Jazz without their best player are a problem.
The Jazz with Hayward....
GS losing 110-82. I fucking love it.
OK, now that the game is over, I think I under sold the Jazz. They are going to be a tough opponent for teams this year.
Damian Lillard's 37 points are tied with CJ McCollum (last year) for 2nd-most in a season opener in team history (47-Vandeweghe, 10/27/84).

Yeah but we know better than anybody that you can easily whoop them for 3 quarters and fuck it up and lose in the 4th.
It looks it; he's looked really collected and efficient out there.I fully expect Lillard's shooting percentages/efficiency to increase this year since he said he worked on cleaning up his shooting mechanics over the summer
Let's face it, joe Johnson doesn't and won't have many games like that these days. Good is a great player but also won't have the ball in his hands that much. Golden boy Hayward will be getting touchesThe Jazz without their best player are a problem.
The Jazz with Hayward....
I want Ed Davis to retire in Portland...the guy is a rock!

We can only hope.Once Ezeli is healthy, Meyers won't see the floor again until one of our bigs gets hurt. Not if Vonleh keeps playing well.
113 on Quinn's D
Damian Lillard is first player with at least 39 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in a season opener since Michael Jordan (11/3/89 vs. CLE).

Agreed on everything except Aminu - he looks exactly the same as last season. A couple of good plays, but overall adds very little to the team. He didn't add anything to his game over the summer, and still has a penchant for making stupid mistakes at inopportune times. Watching him dribble is maddening. I really hope we make the switch to starting Vonleh sooner rather than later, as I think Aminu might fare better against bench players.Take-a-ways:
Dame is the best. Efficiency was on point, only took maybe 2 bad shots the entire game. Is there anything he can do to surprise us anymore?
Vonleh - holy shit. He showed a little bit of everything. Very exciting, albeit one game.
Beibs - Ew.
Harkless was invisible. And I'm one of his biggest supporters. 1 rebound in 20 minutes?
Aminu looked good.
And Crabbe... Hot damn he showed the improvement in his game. Now to watch the counter-attacks on his new improvements...
we laugh but if Dame said in an interview "I'm going to be as good as Michael Jordan this season" I'd fucking believe him.Everybody, you heard it here first. Lillard is the next Michael Jordan!!!
