:reading:HORNETS' OFFICIAL GAME NOTES
:reading:BLAZERS' OFFICIAL GAME NOTES

• Sunday marks the first of two regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Hornets in 2015-16.

• Portland won both of its games against Charlotte last season, and has now won nine of the past 11 contests in this series dating back to 2009-10.

• The Trail Blazers haven’t swept Charlotte in consecutive seasons since 1999-2000 and 2000-01.

• Four out of Charlotte’s five wins over Portland since the start of the 2007-08 season have come at home.

• The Hornets defeated Portland, 124-94, in Charlotte on March 22, 2014, marking their largest victory over Portland in franchise history.

• The Trail Blazers are holding opponents to 32.7% shooting from beyond the arc (11th in NBA), while Charlotte is shooting 36.8% from deep (seventh in NBA). The Hornets shot 15-of-33 from deep in their last game on Nov. 13 against Chicago, and have made 10 or more three-pointers in four games this season.

• The Hornets have fallen shy of the 100-point mark in six of their nine games this season, while the Trail Blazers have given up at least 100 points in four straight games and seven times this season.

• Portland has won the first game of this season series in each of the past six seasons.

• Trail Blazers forward Noah Vonleh (2014) and guard Gerald Henderson (2009-2015) both played with Charlotte last season.

• Hornets forward Nicolas Batum spent his first seven NBA seasons with Portland, averaging 11.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 36-14
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 19-6
AT THE HORNETS: Trail Blazers lead, 17-8

And I also wouldn't be surprised if we went with a small starting lineup this game instead of Kaman.

I expect Hendo or Harkless to start and Kaman rest for tomorrow.

Aminu will guard Batum and CJ against Hairston. The reason only Hairston like the outside shots and doesn't like to post.

Vonleh starting....hope he doesn't get stuck on Big Al too often. That would be a brutal matchup in a player's first start.

Vonleh's revenge game or Nic's revenge game?

Vonleh is actually starting, said Barrett. Wow!
I really hate Stotts rotations and minute dispersal sometimes, but I love this call to start the young guy vs his former team. This is to say listen we believe in you here and we want you to go out and show them what you can do. Brilliant move!

Beautiful rendition of France's National Anthem. But awful performance of our own. Just my opinion. Nice to see them pay homage to France though.

I miss Batum. I don't miss his maddening inconsistency, but I like him.

I don't have a problem with him personally. Just the fact that, like you said, he was inconsistent. And he never took time off in the off season to get his body into shape and rest. Instead, he went and played for France, and was exhausted because of it.

See Batum is out there greeting guys while Aldridge did not. LA doesn't seem to have meshed well with the team.

Will be interesting to see if Henderson/Vonleh/Batum have good games against their former teams.

Vonleh with the start....I thought he was playing his way out of backup minutes. But Stotts probably likes him because of his jump shot.
