Too bad that CJ three got wiped out by the illegal screen call. That pretty much sealed the game.

Charlotte looks like a good, classy team with good fans. Props.

Well, they got it back within 5, so that's commendable. But dammit, they need to clean up those turn overs and start making shots.

Crabbe has really been on a tear. But it seemed like he was reluctant to shoot at the end, no?

Portland up to #6 in the Lottery standings. One would think that a back-to-back @ San Antonio would only aid in that rank. Hate losing but have to find the Silver Lining.

I wonder if the team will get double figure in wins before the all star break. ;)

Just keep thinking about those sweet, sweet lottery balls. It's the only thing to soothe the pain of losing.

This is the low of the season so far. Stotts didn't have his players ready to play a 2 pm Pacific Time game. I understand Batum playing on fire, but not the other Hornets.

Gerald Henderson, too, was in his first game against his former team. But in 7 minutes, he shot 0-3 and had 2 turnovers and 1 rebound. Instead of having our best box score line, he had our worst. Vonleh's box score line was good enough, not great.

Henderson literally pissed me off. Continuously getting picked off, not making the right reads on offense. Not even trying to get back on defense. Why is he playing on a night when Crabbe is on fire?

His inability to stretch the floor means he is absolutely useless on this team. He's not gonna get the ball out of Dame/CJ's hands to hold it for 6 seconds before jacking a fadeaway 20' jumpshot. Should not play at all.

Yes yes, i know, only 2 games in but Crabbe and Harkelss are better at everything .

Hey, you gotta give it to Stotts though. He didn't play Henderson in the 2nd half after that atrocious first half.

Ugh... Didn't see the game... How come Hendo only played 6 mins??

Once again horrible officiating. Our team lost the game themselves though - but I feel the Stotts method is not putting the players in a position to win.

The two main discrepancies are that the discipline is shockingly bad on this team, and the very in-efficient schemes run on both sides of the ball.

Discipline: Terrible fundamentals - bad spacing/playing off of each other/screening & bad positioning (defensively & rebounding); which leads to being out-rebounded on plays where we should have the ball, and, also an easy route to the hoop for opposing guards.
Lack of discipline - This stems from our 'Leader' who continues to force absurd long threes early in the clock - and that lack of discipline/efficiency sets the tone. It can be seen in various players' shot selection.

Efficiency: Defensive switching is poor, but main gripe is our offensive set-up at the top of the key. It is absolutely amateurish to watch our players try to shed defenders with picks/screens. EVERY other team makes us pale in comparison when we play them.
That's on the coaching staff. They are not enforcing discipline on setting screens, and, frankly, their offensive initiation is juvenile at best.
Lot's of pretty movement - not very good shooting opportunities.

Are these going to be your themes for the year? Let me know.

No no, I'd really hate that. Thanks for the offer though.

OK, I've calmed down after that display on court - Obviously rant inducing.

Just frustrated with the Stotts method at the moment.

ETA: I think Lilllard is a top notch leader, overall, on and off the court. I just think he's not setting the best example at the moment with his shot selection. It's lazy.

With the way things are going every one of our ex-players is going to come in here and kick our ass. Imagine Rolo going for 20 rebounds/20 points and pushing Plumlee around. And Wes has the date marked on the calender I am sure. We're going to be that guy in a small town with a nice car and too many ex's....

What's wrong with saying that Lillard isn't the Harlem Globetrotter 50-foot shooter he thinks he is?

It's putting sarcastic quotes around Leader to describe Dame because he takes shots he has a green light to take.

There are enough insane people on the board for me not to know when a person is ranting or when they actually believe Jet Fuel Can't Melt Steel Beams.

It was meant to imply - Forcing threes from 24 feet, without initiating the offense = 'That's not what Good Leaders do'.

Your intent was obvious to me, but not to those who interpret every word literally and call everyone else insane.

I am a very literal person, because words have meaning and I respect them. There are a lot of people in the world surprisingly bad at using words; I need to get used to that.
