I like that line up as well. I think Gary might have needed a breather in the 4th when Terry took him out, but I would have preferred that he put him back in after the double timeout. Sac left Jones wide open for a 3 in the last couple of minutes...which he missed.
Having said that, Jones was having a good game so I see why Terry would have stuck with him for defense and rebounding. But regardless I want 4 shooters in there with Nurk for that reason. Especially if Sac would have started intentionally fouling.

I won’t get on a game thread during the game. Chaos doesn’t even begin to describe it. I do try hard not to judge game time responses but some of them are off the hook. You have to admit that.
During the game I’m watching the game. No need to have someone else tell me what I am seeing.

I do it to release frustration or excitement. It’s cathartic. I think it’s silly for people to go back later and criticize people for things that were said in the heat of the moment. It’s like calling something a bad call because in live action it looked like a horrible call, and then you see the replay and it actually was the right call. Should the person who originally thought it was a bad call based on what they saw live be criticized?

I also noticed another tidbit!
CJ talked to him at least three times during that game about not complaining to the refs. On fouls and out of bounds plays that Nurk wanted to start jawing to refs about, CJ would walk over and tap him and tell him to let it go and get into position.
That is all part of what teams are supposed to do. Keep each other accountable and communicate both during play and during breaks.

Your game thread takes are not all that bad. Some are meltdowns complete and simple. No need to point at people speaking in the heat of a game thread.
I do like to go back and find some good takes that can be talked about.

This unit has played literally 5.5 total minutes together this entire year. I'm not convinced that Stotts didn't go to this lineup due to anything besides foul trouble.

Wait a minute? You say "one possession" but then say "Appreciate the snark"?
Then completely blow your own assessment out of the water and prove they have been on the court over 5 minutes of actual play that could have easily been 10-20 minutes of watching a game?
Time to back away from the keyboard. I absolutely was not being snarky. They group has been on the court more than one possession and i would bet we will see it more.

When I said "one possession", I was referring to the game in question. Your ability to argue semantics rather than the point of the post (which is that Stotts has not given this group any sort of meaningful playing time) was not surprising, but I'll be sure to just ignore you the next time this happens.

Yeah, and it's much more mature to post irrational shit that you're embarrassed to own up to later.

It's a little ironic that the people who can't control their emotions in a game thread are the ones sensitive to people critiquing those comments after the game.

Seriously i was not trying to be snarky and i really wasn't trying to argue at all. I also didn't really do any research. Why the tude? I just posted the picture to lighten the mood. Maybe even make you smile a bit.
I have seen the lineup a few times. It seems to be working when the fouls permit them to use it.
We are literally agreeing here?
If you feel you want to ignore me or anyone else that is your prerogative.

nba starts (east cost games) 1:00 am where i live, while blazers home games start usually at 4:00 am or 4:30 am (portland is 9 hours behind my hometown) and im kind of a night person, so i watch nba, given im a huge sports fan

i like that regular season has 82 games, also, those best players are really exciting to watch, theyre much more skillful than players in europe, after all, best or talented players from europe go to the nba, not vice-versa, bad players from nba go to europe and a lot of them are best players on the european teams, like shane larkin at anadolu efes, which is one of the 5 best teams in europe... also, black athletes are athletically gifted, so theres a lot of exciting dunks etc

there are things i dont like obviously, such as coaching, as i dont consider them to be coaches at all (there are exceptions obviously), i dont like fans, as they are casual and i like passionate fans and i hate all the crap during timeouts... and i hate when theres too much iso bball and unfortunately, thats the case with the blazers, the team that i love
