Association Football never seems to progress much here, every time it looks to be improving, it shoots itself in the foot. It's always self inflicted though. Earlier this year a disagreement between Football Federation Australia, and FIFA over the composition of the FFA board, saw Australia 24 hours away from being banned from all international competitions.
