Phew....unfortunately that goal is going to cost me...quick under 26.5 saves is in jeopardy now

Laf ties it with 11 seconds left. Now go get the 2nd point in OT

Laf has finally figured it out. Thank god. Might be a good time to move Kakko for a top right winger because the first line stinks.

I don't know that I'd say he's figured it out after 12g, but he's off to a nice start. Helps that he's playing with Panarin/Troch now but he's doing his part as well.

The thing with Lafreniere is you see the skill level that made him the # 1 overall pick. That move and backhand in the SO was awesome, and something most people cannot do. Skating has always been the big standout skill question mark for Laf, if he can continue to improve there, but also use his high hockey IQ and other skills to offset that a bit, he has stud potential, and we are seeing good things.

If only Kakko would wake up as well, dude is just about invisible these days. I'd say when Chytil returns you leave Trocheck where he is, and put Chytil with Cully and Kakko, maybe that will be good for Kakko.

Also hope Igor is back for the next game Saturday at NJ, he should be. And I guess we'll see on Chytil and Lindgren. Lindgren would be a big loss at NJ, it makes going 6 for 6 points wise in these 3 home games even bigger. The Rangers have a tough upcoming schedule after the week off. At NJ, at Dallas, at Pitt, at Philly, home Boston. Outside of the game in Philly, those are all very good teams (Pitt isn't very good, but they are hot and always dangerous with Sid, Malkin, Letang, Karl). Getting the injuries out of the way early this season.

So sick and tired of this corrupt, anti NY bullshit in the review booth. The cheap shots that never result in a suspension. Same shit every year from this mickey mouse run league.

Of all the joke calls they review a hit to reduce the penalty lol.

I think the review is part of the major protocol, but the point stands of course, it is a joke. I truly challenge anyone to say the Rangers haven't gotten the short end of the review and discipline stick for years now. It is embarrassing for the league IMO. Last night was a great example, as that was clearly a goal, but after a 6 minute + review, which is also an embarrassment for the refs it took that long, they say blown dead/puck was frozen. It took that look to say it was blown dead and frozen - what a joke the NHL is. I said it 100 times, the way the league is run, and the cap, and the zero flexibility hurts the game and the popularity in the US. Even their playoff format is a joke. It is ridiculous.

So special when not only do you get robbed by the league , you come back and tie a game with 11 tickers on the clock and get 2 pts..

Special TEAM

Good start to the season, a lot of bad teams we have beaten ..true test is coming up

A fun team to watch, don’t see anywhere where I said they were wining the cup but they sure as heck have the ingredients. Pick up , which they will, and tough impact player. And that should get us over the top.

as far as teams we played to have the record we have, take a look at both Vegas and bruins, they haven’t been challenged much either .

We played Carolina, we played Vancouver, we played Winnipeg (which is a decent team), we played Detroit, that is a solid group of teams. We haven't played Colorado, Dallas, LV, or Boston yet. Outside of that group, the teams we have played are on par with most of the other teams currently. Plus, we had a 5 game Western Canada trip, which adds another level of difficulty, and have played 2 more road games than home games.

I would say our schedule has been okay overall thus far. Certainly not crazy difficult, but not overly easy either.

The Rangers have not responded well when average teams picked up the physical play, the upcoming schedule will have some postseason flavor and give a better picture. I still think they need a banger at the end of the bench so players like Mika can relax and focus on scoring.

The rangers swept a 5 game road-trip for the first time in franchise history.

if that ain’t special then maybe your expectations are way too high.

It’s more your expectations are so low. team is one cup in 85 years. Nobody gives a shit about the team to finish the second. Do you think any Eagles fans think their team is special after they lost the Super Bowl? If you do you smoke crack a lot

I don't agree with that. If you take zero joy in winning games, and hopefully making playoff runs, even if you don't win the Cup, what is the point of being a fan. Did you not enjoy 2014? Did you not enjoy the other playoff series wins around that time? Or the ECF run two years ago? I know I did as I attended many playoff games at MSG during those runs. If your answer is no, then I feel for you because if the only way you feel joy as a fan is winning a Cup/championship, then you will be disappointed 99% of the time, regardless of which sport or team you are talking about.

Now to be clear, to truly celebrate and take full joy and have parades etc., you need to win a Cup/championship, I agree there for sure. But you have to take some joy and have some fun with your team winning games and making playoff runs even if they don't win the ultimate prize, otherwise what is the point. That's a lot of time and emotional (and maybe financial?) investment for 99% of the time to have no joy and fun.

The goal IS to win it all. That is fact.

we are not even close to knowing it yet , so enjoy the ride.

Lindgren skated today so that seems to be a good sign.

Enjoy 2014? Are you fucking high? Watching the officials fuck the Rangers over twice, watching the league apologize after for it and watching Hank facedown on the ice after an OT goal to end the series. No. I didn't enjoy 2014. I didn't enjoy watching perhaps the best goalie in team history never raise the cup over his head. Sorry, that doesn't bring enjoyment to me as a Rangers fan.

Yes, there were many awesome moments in 2014. Yet, devastating in the end.

I am not talking about the final result. If you didn't enjoy the run to get into the SCF while it was happening, and have good fun memories of the journey, I don't know what to say other than I feel sorry for you as a fan. I went to many playoff games that year, including the OT winner by MSL to put us up 3-1 and essentially put us in the SCF, and I had a great time. And enjoyed that playoff run until the final loss. Same for the ECF run in 2012, and the long runs in the following years, and the ECF run 2 years ago. You have to enjoy the ride, even if the ending was awful and not enjoyable. Otherwise, you will be miserable 99% of the time no matter what team you root for in any sport. All while clearly stating if you don't win the title overall it is disappointing, but you still have to enjoy the long runs while they are happening and have some good memories.

I feel for you if you take no enjoyment from sports other than a black and white my team wins the title = good and fun, my team doesn't win the title = bad, period. Sorry...
