The thing with Lafreniere is you see the skill level that made him the # 1 overall pick. That move and backhand in the SO was awesome, and something most people cannot do. Skating has always been the big standout skill question mark for Laf, if he can continue to improve there, but also use his high hockey IQ and other skills to offset that a bit, he has stud potential, and we are seeing good things.
If only Kakko would wake up as well, dude is just about invisible these days. I'd say when Chytil returns you leave Trocheck where he is, and put Chytil with Cully and Kakko, maybe that will be good for Kakko.
Also hope Igor is back for the next game Saturday at NJ, he should be. And I guess we'll see on Chytil and Lindgren. Lindgren would be a big loss at NJ, it makes going 6 for 6 points wise in these 3 home games even bigger. The Rangers have a tough upcoming schedule after the week off. At NJ, at Dallas, at Pitt, at Philly, home Boston. Outside of the game in Philly, those are all very good teams (Pitt isn't very good, but they are hot and always dangerous with Sid, Malkin, Letang, Karl). Getting the injuries out of the way early this season.
