I'm dreading this game. I can't imagine getting blown out 4 games in a row, with 2 of them being to bottom-feeders.

Don't dread the future. Accomplishes nothing and just makes you unnecessarily upset.

We got this one. I'll be at the game. Anyone know when Aminu is returning?

"Head coach Terry Stotts indicated Friday that Aminu will be "re-evaluated in a few weeks", Mike Richman of the Oregonian reports.

This was a week ago, so it might be another 2 weeks before he's back.

That sucks. Unfortunately, we're not as deep as we thought we were. Maybe we should start Turner.

I'm with you but trust me lets try the lottery this year and see if Olshey can continue his good drafting with a great pick

"We're gonna be fine." Damian Lillard in the locker room after the Pelicans game, according to Quick

Sounds like the Blazers locker room is not close to panicking yet. So that genuinely makes me feel better.

We should have sacrificed a chicken or something in New Orleans.

Lets not get carried away. lol
Lillard is still our best, sweetest and smoothest shooter on the team.

We really need this win now. Not for maintaining a .500 record, but for confidence. and moral. We need a blowout in the worst way.

We're starting Vonleh?

No, it's just my guess. Stotts will choose the 5th starter on a game-by-game basis, depending on matchups for that game. He usually doesn't announce the actual starting lineup until shortly before tipoff.

So your guess is as good as mine on who the actual starter will be.

The 5th starter has become a mystery like who was the 5th Beatle.

As a Mariners, 49ers, Blazers fan, I'll be watching the NASCAR race tomorrow. Sadly, Kyle Busch might be the only champion I'm a fan of.

I'll be at this one. How do I post pictures? I know I can attach files but is there away to just post the picture?

Last year at this point the team was 5-9. They were coming out of a 7 game losing streak. Fans everywhere were jumping ship. Exclamations of fire the Coach were everywhere as well as Fire Olshey because he had let LaMarcus leave town. Most of us absolutely knew it was going to be a Lottery season and wondered if they were actually going to get a number one pick again. The chorus was "tank so they don't lose the pick". You can go back and look for yourself but many including me said "ABSOLUTELY NEVER TANK!"

Most Fans were so sure the end was coming, and even though it can't happen there were the echos of "Paul Allen wants to move the team to Seattle". Then of course the constant downer syndrome of Stotts can't coach basketball to save his life was in full throttle. The Negative Nancy's were out in full force.

Then they beat the Clippers! They ended up eating quite a bit of CROW as Stotts was in the running for COY and Olshey was proclaimed a Genius.

This began a different view of the team. Now they were playing like they thought a win was always possible. They pushed teams and were "Fun to watch". Then the team went 12-3 going into the All-Star break. Of course everyone watched in total disbelief as they simply destroyed the Warriors to start the second half of the season.

My point is until you have 20 games under the belt of a team like this you don't know what you truly have. They will have to make some changes and they will continue to practice on the things they don't do well. The 20 game point for this team comes Nov 30th. the third game of a 4 game home stand that includes teams they just lost to on the road like Houston and New Orleans. It is followed up by a 5 game road trip that has Chicago, Milwaukiee, Memphis and Indiana also the Lakers. It will also come with time for this team to practice again. December is also when some originally thought they might see Festus Ezeli (Don't hold your breath on that). The biggest problem that Portland has is it has now been scouted. Not just well but Very Well. Teams know exactly how to stop them. You guard Dame and CJ and make another player step up. Aminu has been nonexistent to this point and they simply don't have a third impact player. They need a true Powerful Power Forward. Not an undersized PF and SF. Going small will change the tempo of a game but it has never been the way to win or hold onto a lead for that matter. Teams are taking advantage of the Blazers lack of size and lack of overall talent. They simply don't have the horses to be in the race against good strong teams. They will struggle is a way to put it mildly.

I am looking for a trade. Not a new coach. They need a strong defensive presence and a low post scorer. When teams have to respond to that kind of player every shooter on the Blazers will have much better looks.

Here are a few dates to keep in mind....

Jan 5th- 10 day contracts can be signed. This is when you see players get some chances around injuries. If Festus never makes it this season the Blazers can pick up a big.

All-Star break is Feb 17th. Not that it matters much because the Blazers will again be hard pressed to have a player that is an All-Star.

Trade Deadline is Feb 23rd. Right after the All-Star break.

The Blazers might not even make the Playoffs this year but there is a reason they play the games.

Now go win a game they are supposed to win on the road tonight against the Nyets.

Go Blazers!

People weren't jumping ship. People had low expectations. I don't remember people being upset. And most people were glad Aldridge was gone.

I'm a 49er and Duck fan myself. Not much to get excited about this sport season.
